Hello all,

I am looking to hear stories from anybody having fevers during 2ww and the outcome.

I had my ET 10/23/09 and later that day started with fevers/deep hacking cough/runny nose. Been resting at home but fever persistsbetween 98.6- 99.5*F, but last night max at 100.1*F for about 30 mins until tylenol kicked in.

Do I have H1N1- possibly but no body aches/ feeling run down like you typically feel with viral fevers.

Do I have a common cold?

Is it just allergies- its bad for allergies because i am coughing so hard.

Is it a reaction to Embryo transfer?

My RE wants me to rest/take lots of tylenol to keep temp below 100*F ( RE said over 100 affects implantation)/ hydration.

Tamiflu is pregnancy category 3 and i am not crazy about it. Esp since i dont feel that sick and who knows what it can do.

anybody else have any ideas/suggestions??

Its been a long emotional journey and the hurdles don't stop. I am trying to be strong and hopeful....!!

I got bronchoitits after the ET (may have had a fever but I don't know as I really don't check it) got my BFP and he is 2 a week from today. Pregnancy supresses your immune system so it makes sense that you may get sick right after transfer. I have heard many stories of illness right after transfer that resulted in BFP's. BTW - on my BFN IVF I was as healthy as could be. (Although it could have been the difference between BFN transfer July and BFP Jan cycle.) Who knows?!?

I too have bronchitis like symptoms and RE would prefer I avoid inhalers and meds except tylenol. Fortunately I was able to stay at home today.

With this whole H1N1 thing over the news, I can't think beyond.Need to stop watching TV.

I had a cold a couple days after my ET. Called my IVF nurse and she said Tylenol will help with the cold and feaver symptoms. My feaver spiked to 101.2 and within 24 hrs went down to 98.something. I was taking Tylenol every 4-6 hrs as recommended.

Yet feeling crappy. My physician friend does think it's h1n1. What bad timing!!!!

Drinking tea/ soup/ fluid and taking Tylenol!

I can't stop saying why me and why now . I feel horrible.

Hope this doesn't affect implantation.

Take it easy as much as possible and try not to stress your body more than you have too. Hope you're feeling better soon.
