Question HCG Booster?

Name: halloweentortghost.gif

I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping to get your help with...

Has anyone had an hcg booster/s during the 2ww and was it a single booster or multiple shots? Also, was it used in addition to supplemental progesterone or instead of it? And finally... what was the outcome of that cycle?

Thanks for your help.

Rose

Hi Rose - Yes, I've had the HCG boosters both times that I made it to ET. They were done every third day starting the night of the ER for a total of 4 shots. They were done in addition to the progesterone. I think my RE does them as a precaution with the "older" (so not funny!) patients. Well you can see that i'm still trying, but that has nothing to do with the hcg boosters. I'm sure you RE is just being extra cautious. Best of luck to you!

Hi Katie- Thanks for the information. I'm willing to try almost anything if it helps.

It looks like we might be cycle buddies. We meet with a new re on Wednesday; and I'm hoping to cycle in December.

I'm hoping this new guy will do an epp protocol with me. My old re doesn't believe in that protocol.

Have you received your calendar yet?

I used the booster with my IUI success just as described above - but I was only 22 yo.
