NYU Fertility Center-any experience?

Hi all,

I have been busy scheduling my IVF appointments when I found out that my doctor is not covered under my insurance. He is willing to share me with another practice but I am concerned about his protocall. In my research under my insurance NYU Fertility Center is covered. I was wondering if anyone has or is using them for the IVF treatments. I have an appointment with Dr. Licciardi this month and I plan on moving forward for my first cycle of IVF in January.

Thanks for your help.

Hi there,

I used NYU and I have to say, it's the BEST care I have ever received in my life! The nurses are amazing, the doctors are wonderful and you will absolutely love how efficient they are! I really cannot say anything bad about them at all - they geniunely care and show immense compassion. You will be really knocked out by their professionalism!!

Good luck to you!

Thank you so much for replying.....I could cry just reading how much you loved them! This has been such a long road for me and DH and with so many issues.
I am so excited for our consultation with them on the 18th of this month and I am planning on going with them or my current clinic for January. I am in the healthcare industry and I know how sometimes stats can be bumped higher at these clinics for not taking the complicated cases. NYU has such high stats and they take on the complicated cases!

Thanks again so very much-LW

Let me know how it goes for you! I am telling you, I cannot imagine an office running more smoothly! Every day, and I mean every day, they have monitoring from 7a-9a for bloodwork, ultrasounds, etc. You are literally in and out - they realize people have to get to work and they move you fast which I loved!

Everything there is a breeze. Not sure if you are doing IVF but they do all their procedures on the 6th floor so you are right there. I absolutely love the people there - I had been going since Feb so we all became buddies! LOL Also if you get there before 8:30am, you can park across the street on 1st Ave at meters!

Good luck! You are in great hands!

I will absolutely keep you posted! Its so great to here how well you were taken care of there....this would be my third fertility center to pursue IVF and I feel so broken down because of having multiple fertility problems, I need some hope again! If you get a chance I was just wondering if you saw Dr. Licciardi there? That is who I have an appt with for IVF this month....Do each of the doctors see you or do they all specialize in different conditions? Thanks again so much for your encouragement, I needed it and so does my DH!

Have a great weekend

Best-Laur

Hi there,

Sorry I haven't been on in a few days. I actually see Dr. Grifo although Dr. Liccardi did my ER and he is a sweetheart! He has a blog too that's very interesting! I believe all of the doctors consult with one another so you are fine with any one of the doctors! As far as the ER and ET, you get whatever doctor is working that day - they rotate. My ER was a Monday and I had Liccardi and my ET was a Saturday and I had Dr. Kump for that. You will get to know all the nurses - they are truly amazing and so caring! And having the medical floor 1 floor up, on the 6th floor makes things so easy without the hassel of dealing with a hospital!

Good luck - let me know how you like it!
