We used to do that. We learned not to. Ouch. Two is a good maximum, IMO, and only if the patient likes the idea of twins. The rest are just fine frozen. With a good frozen embryo program, there is not much need to take risks with too many embryos. |

I put back two and wanted to do three because I honestly thought it was not going to work but I was blessed with two beautifuln babies. With that being said my best had three put back and had a BFN so you never know just do what you think is best. Good luck and I hope your bundle of joy!

After two failed IVFs in 2003, we decided to put back three very high quality embryos. We have major issues with fertilization so to have three high-quality embryos for us was a big deal. We knew the risks of a triplet pregnancy, etc. and we accepted that prior to the transfer. We have 5 year old b/g twins from that cycle. I think its a very personal decision but we were always prepared to think we *could* have triplets and discussed the risk prior to the transfer. We are cycling again and are on our 6th cycle - I would not - at at this time- put back 3 because I don't feel "ok" with a triplet pregnancy. My RE said transferring three increases the chance of twins but doesn't necessarily increase the chance of triplets. Good Luck with your decision.
