First IVF this month! What should we expect?

Hi everyone. I've not posted anything lately but I'm glad to be back. My period has started and tomorrow is my first bloodwork and ultrasound to start our very first IVF cycle. I'm so excited, scared, nervous, anxious...etc. I've already instructed everyone in my life to keep the stress at bay. LOL. My question to you all is "what should I expect?"

Hopefully 2010 will bring babies for us all.
Be blessed ladies.

Hi MszGordon and to the IVF board! While I am still in my first IVF so I can't tell you everything yet, I will say the ladies in the specific month boards have been the MOST help. When are you planning to do Egg Retrieval and Transfer? If you are getting your period this week and are on the Lupron protocol, I bet you might be in the December group, so feel free to join us!

I am only 2 weeks into the process but learned a lot already. I hope yor clinic has a training class where they will explain everything in more detail for you !

Hey hun
I just went through my first cycle and wish I knew then what I know now. First off good luck and try and stay positive. It can be a heart wrenching experience but nothing will help more than positive thinking and yes not being stressed.
The injections and pills to me were nothing. No big deal. The stress comes when you are having sonograms to watch your follicles and trying to think in your head if you are normal or good always hoping for the best. Honestly this forum can help but at the same time can also make you nervous and paranoid if you read every question and answer. Feel free to contact me through e-mail and I will tell you as much as you want to know.
I hope it all goes well and you have a great result.

Erica
