Nurse0077: Thanks so much sweetie! I did some research on line and read the following; "Decidual bleeding is one of the most common causes of period-like bleeding during pregnancy. The fact is that sometimes, during pregnancy, body’s hormones can get malfunctioning, causing to lose parts of the lining of uterus. This is especially common in the early stages of pregnancy, before the lining has completely attached to the placenta, which is the most common time to notice decidual bleeding. However, decidual bleeding is generally not thought to be a health threat to you or your baby."

I really hope this is what I have. Good night and sweet dreams. Smooches!

Ok i lied, I said I wasn't going to post anymore tonight but i can't help myself....

Snazzy.... That sounds like hopeful news. Another factor that would point in that direction is that low progesterone can cause you to lose some of your lining.....maybe that is why your progesterone is low and you've been bleeding? I'm still For you..... This is a tough enough road and from what i read about from everyone on here, the stress doesn't end the day we get our

You are all in my prayers tonight, but there will be a big shout out for you snazzy.....

Hugs.

Wolfgirl! You are right behind her, ER monday morning! good luck to you as well!

I wonder, do they tell you before you leave how many eggs they got?

December 2010- not sure what to tell you about the estradiol numbers. Im not asking, as long as eberything is normal and going fine..... one less detail to worry and obsess about for me. I know my baseline was 'nice and low' the way they want it.

AFM-I just took my first night of stims! I could hardly wait (weird, i know), i just wanted to get started. I was watching my Gators play and lose horribly and didnt even care (so unlike me) cause i just wanted to get started.
Im sooo glad for this forum...I did the ice trick before the menopur injection (that one usually burns like crazy when i did IUI) and it helped soooo much. I also got the CVS swabs that supposedly numb the site but i dont think it did anything. So 10u lupron, 150 Gonal F, and 75 menopur....grow follies grow! Same dose tomorrow night, then monday u/s and b/w.

question for Gonal F users.... i couldnt tell if the meds went in? I primed it as i was told, and set it to 150, and when DH injected, i pushed the button and heard three clicks, but he said the plunger didnt move?!?? But it was a 900unit pen, maybe it moved minimally? Thoughts?

Thanks, have a great night!
maria

Good luck to

After my first IVF they told me when I came out of the anestesia that they retrieved 8 eggs. The next day they called to tell me that 7 of them fertalized normally. If I recall from my last group others were told how many they got the day of retieval as well.

So if I remember correctly (I'm claiming "fertility brain" if I don't) Wolfgirl, Willow and Chica are coming up on ETs, right? SO freaking excited for you guys!

Nurse: So glad to have another scrapper on board! I'm rather diseased as far as the scrapbook bug goes (I heard that there's a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness". I think I've crossed it!) It's such an awesome creative outlet for me, keeps the memories for the kids and is just so flippin' fun. My best friend is a scrapper, too and we almost always get together on one weekend night and scrap into the wee hours of the morning. Although, with my bowling ball-weight ovaries, I'm not up for it this weekend.

AFM: Had my blood drawn today. My doc was the one who called back (usually it's an IVF nurse) saying that at this point they want to see the e2 between 100 and 200 and that I'm at 159. I told the hubbster that I'm nine points above perfect He just smiled and rolled his eyes and told me not to let it go to my head! I continue on 200 units of follistim tonight and tomorrow and then go back for only bloodwork on Monday, most likely having an u/s and b/w on Wednesday. I still can't belive that we're looking at ER and ET next week! EEEK!

Well, I have a killer headache (tylenol can kiss my big, half-mexican tush...it doesn't work AT ALL!!). I'm going to go soak in the tub (a friend of mine makes soap and bath stuff and gave me some stress relief soap and tarts) and then I'm going to go play in my scrap room.

Night, all!

Andrea

I hear you with the Tylenol..It doesn't do ANYTHING for me either. I usually only take Motrin and I usually take them 3 at a time only when it's really needed. The Lupron headaches were a killer because tylenol doesn't do anything for me so I didn't bother taking it at all. I'm really going to miss my Motrin

Reimplantation will take place Thursday or Saturday. I'm feeling a little like a stuffed turkey right now. Anyone else on a similar schedule? I'm a little blown away by all the supplements some of you are taking. Did I miss the bus here? Perhaps I should have done more research. All I've been taking is a prenatal vitamin. Anyway, good luck to all of you! Sending and your way. Hoping I can post a on 12/16.

fooberryfizz, We are on the exact same schedule. I triggered tonight at 9:30. I retrieve Monday at 9:30am and should be doing a 5DT on Saturday. My Dr prefers 5dt and my embryos made it to 5day last time so they didn't even prepare me for a possible 3 day this time on my schedule. They automatically told me 5 day. Obviously that could change if my embryos don't progress as well this time.

Good Luck and I'll be thinking of you when they put me under on Monday

Snazzy, I an so sorry that you are worried and scared for your baby. Remember I bled from 7 weeks all the way to 13 weeks when pregnant with my son. I hope to hear the same for you. Praying for a sticky bean.

Day 1 of stims!

Yay! Day one of 150iu of gonal f and Lupron 5 units. I was worried about the multi-dose pen but it went well. I hurt less than the Lupron. Question: do you change the needle with each injection?

Maria: when I pulled out the plunger, I heard it click three times. I stuck the needle in and pressed the plunger til all the clicks were done. (3 clicks) As it was clicking in, I watched the fluid decrease in the syringe so I knew I had gotten my dose. Did the med in the syringe look less to you? Also when I had finished pushing the plunger, it was flat again. Is that what happened to you? I was so worried I was going to get my med, or I was going to forget a click! Can you say neurotic?!?!? Lol, I was so worried and it went fine. Silly me.

Yay! I can't believe some girls are already finishing their ER and on to their ET! I am so happy for you!

Now on to the

Good luck! And don't worry this place is going to be your new home. It's defintiely mine!

Trying to stay positive and Endo sucks

Hi Ladies -

I dont know where to begin.. Im trying to stay positive and not defeated...My first ivf, my first er, and i am just being challenged.. I pray and hope for the best ladies, i definitely need it right about now..

ER experience: first i had to get sticked 3 times before they can put the thread in for me to receive the "gatorade" of nutrients...finally had to do it near my wrist.. I am just a hard prick, and the one area they have been sticking me to get my blood drawn was not working this time..

it was time to go in, all i remember was going in and prepping.. but when i got out... OMG, the pain!!! now ladies, please dont be nervous, i think it was just me.. This is where the depression is trying to set in and i wont allow it to... Apparently the RE doing the procdeure had to manipulate my ovaries to try and retrieve any eggs.. Why? because my endo is a problem... they were only able to retrieve 2 eggs..i cant believe it.. From 13 follicles, almost 8 mature only 2 eggs.. im so confused.. I was being drugged up because of the pain, i believe the RE stated that the follicles turned out to be endometriomas.. im so confused and i am waiting for my main RE to return to the office.. and on top of that, DH had to give another sample at the center.. Dont know why, but the sample he did at home wasnt good enough.. He said the person said something but the terminology was over his head.. Im just trying to be prayerful.... Im just still confused and in awe..

Pain for me was very difficult, and the nurse said because of all the manipulation for the RE to try to get something.. she drugged me up twice and finally gave me morphin (which burned)... i eventually got up to walk and said i was ready to go home, i came home and just slept the entire time with my heating pad.. I didnt take any vicodin that they prescribed me because i didnt want to feel as a drug addict.. I am up this morning just waiting to hear the news about my 2 eggs... this is definitely an emotional roller coaster ride for me, and it being my first cycle, i just cant imagine...

sorry ladies, but i just had to share my story... i feel as if i am to blame, but i know i am not.. at the end of the day, i will take all the pain if required to receive a child of my own.

best of luck to u all.. i hope ur experience is better for you..

Hey ladies,

Lots and lots of activity this week. So much going on.

Snazzy....I will be praying for you and your little bean. I know that it's hard not to worry, but bleeding this early in pregnancy can mean so many things. Not all of them bad. KUP and try to stay positive!!

Chica and Vicky-GL today with your ER!!

Wolfgirl--Yeah that you triggered last night....it looks like you have some nice follies there. GL tomorrow on your ER.

Missy- How cool that two are on freeze!! That must be a relief. I hope that you are taking it easy... that you will have good news in a few days.

December 2010 and Lovemyman- at the baseline after the Lupron/suppression check they are looking to see if the ovaries are quiet and if there is minimal hormone activity. I have read that most doctors want the E2 level below 50...preferably around the 20 or so...but I know that some have been allowed to stim at below 75. They also need to check for cysts...a high E2 can indicate a cyst.

Nurse...usually, if you hear the clicks that means that the medication went in. I will say that for the first time ever, I had what I think was a defective pen this week as I knew all of the medication did not go in because it looked to be the same volume as it was before...for some reason the pen did not move...that has never happened to me before. I now watch as it the medication goes in to be sure. One quick way to check is to open a new pen and compare it to see if the medication has decreased.

Zen...too funny about the gas...yes...I am in the same boat...also..Tylenol does NOTHING for me...I sure do miss Advil!!

AFM...I FINALLY have my first u/s and bloods since stimming tomorrow. I will have stimmed for 7 days by tomorrow so I am very anxious. I have no idea how things are going. I just hope I have a decent amount of follies growing by now and that all is well. We shall see...but I can't wait to get to the Dr.'s office tomorrow!!
