Hi my name is Rachel I've been ttc for over 3 years (with no success).
I know its really early to be starting a thread for spring and summer 2011 IVF's but I will be going though IVF hopefully around April or May. I would really like to meet some ladies to share this journey with. So many things run though your head when you are a women going though what we are going though (IF) it's just nice to have someone to chat with who knows how you feel and what you are going though. i look forward to meeting new friends.

i am also doing my first round of ivf in the spring summer iam trying to talk dh into may lol but hes adament on july lol,
we have been ttc for 5+ yrs with 4 losess 2 being confirmed ectopic and now i havbe no tubes so ivf is my only option,

i am glad to find some one else doign it around teh same time as me.,.

Mind if I join you? My name is Rachel as well. I'm really happy that you started this thread! It's so nice to have others to talk to. I was hoping to start IVF in early 2011, but it looks like spring it is! I'm hoping for April at the latest, but May could be more realistic. I'm waiting for scar tissue to form in my tubes in order to block them off. I go for an HSG around 2/15 to make sure my tubes are blocked, due to hydrosalpinx. If they are blocked, we can proceed, FINALLY!

Thank you ladies for joining me. It's so nice to have others to share our experiences with.
I really wanted to do my ivf in january but when i went for my last laperoscopy in November my doc said my endomitriosos was so bad that i would have to do 6 months of lupron (med that puts me in temporary menopause to rid some of the endo tissue) before i would be ready for IVF.
I don't know about you ladies but the next few months couldn't go by fast enough.... i look forward to getting to know everyone.

I'm sorry you have to wait for your endo to get better, Rachel. Natascha, I'm sorry you have to wait until July!! I agree, I don't know if the next few months can go by fast enough! I have a feeling that once the holidays are over time will fly by, at least I hope!!

I totally agree that after the holidays time will fly. I don't know where you guess work, but I work as a assistant manager at a local walgreens and the holidays are a bit harsh in the retail world.
are you ladies hoping for singleton or multiples when you do your IVF? I know that any amount is a blessing but i would love to have twins.

i am vary sorry you have to wait for the endo to, ugh i have stage 3, and now have no tubes...


i am hoping for multipuls but if i get one or more i dont mind ill be happy either way.

Random: do you ever watch Giuliana and Bill on Style? Not that I'm happy they are struggling to have a baby, but it's nice to know that we aren't alone in the world.

I bet the retail world is tough during the holidays! I commend you! I am an insurance agent and we are a bit slow this time of year. People aren't too bad unless their rates increase!

I would love to have twins, but my DH already has 4 kids. That would mean we would need a bus to cart everyone around! He would prefer just one, but we will be thrilled no matter what!

Rachel yes i LOVE Guilliana and Bill, i don't get the style network so i paid for the whole season on itunes and they download on my computer after the show airs each week. I also am reading there book (only a few chapters left). I know what you mean about them it's sad but it's also nice to see them share there story with everyone. do you think they will share good news on the last episode?

HI Everyone,
I too am strongly considering IVF for the spring/summer. It depends on how long it takes us to pull together the money and make the decision to move forward. For a long time now I've been telling myself that I would not do IVF and would focus on adoption after IUI, but now I am not so sure. Maybe I do have to try it? The odds are so much better than IUI.
Anyway, I would love to have the support of others who are preparing for IVF. I know it's a HUGE step and a big commitment of our time, resources, and emotions.

I am new to all of this and would love to be apart of this group. We were scheduled to do IVF with an ED in Jan/Feb. but now she is unavailable until May/June. I know my experience will be a little different but I know I'll still be experiencing all the same emotions, etc.
