Thanks so much to all of you for the advice. I called hubby to let him know all the things he could try and he was so relieved.

To those of you taking shots already, I used to say the ABC's out loud while inserting the medication.....somehow this helped it to not sting as much. Can't wait to start again, LOL!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I have had some whopper zits as well, and was VERY moody especially the first week on BCP. (I started crying in Chipotle one day over something that was totally crazy!) I warned DH in advance that I would be emotional and probably irrational with all these drugs in and out of my system, so I think he's been pretty well prepared to just ride it out. Poor guy.

Thankfully, today was my last BCP! So happy to be done with them, and I hope nothing happens to make me need to circle back and take them again! Ultrasound on Saturday, and then I start stims on Monday if all looks right!

Hi Ladies!

I was wondering if I can join your group even though I will be on my second IVF cycle in March. This is such an emotional process and I know that being able to discuss my thoughts and ask questions of others who are going through the same process would do wonders for me.

I just went in to see my RE this morning and I am starting bcps today. Two for the first 3 days and then 1 a day for the remaining two weeks. It looks like I've got a couple larger follicles (8-9 mm) and some much smaller ones, which had the RE a bit concerned. Hopefully the bcps will keep the larger ones from growing to allow the others to catch up. This process is soooo complex!

Well, I wish us all luck in the coming months with a and beautiful child in 2012/2013!

Hang in there BCP ladies. The time on the pill was worse than any hormone I've taken in the past year.....I was a raging witch and spent more time apologizing than anything else (not me at all).

Warmest wishes!!

Welcome!!! It'll be awesome to have someone who has been through the process in our midst!

qbfan413 - thanks for that! I'm trying desperately to be patient, but just really dislike BCPs...

At least I knew this would be low since I have DOR but way to rain on my parade

Does anyone have some ideas for increasing sperm count and motility? Not sure if it will even matter if we are going for a March ER. Now I'm wondering if we should wait.

Anyhow, in good news, my ER will be scheduled for sometime between the 17th-20th of March which is similar to a lot of you. I'll be on the antagonist protocal and will not start BCP. I did make sure to tell my RE that I was concerned about having a "cookie cutter" first round and also asked why I was never tested for AMH before....sigh.

I hope tomorrow I will feel better and continue with my positiveness but today ....well, what do you do when life throws you rotten eggs?

Dawnbelle- Welcome and I am very sorry to hear about your m/c's. Lots of for you!

My dr had my dh start taking a fertility med a few months ago. It's one you can get from the store or ebay. I'll have to double check on the name. It has a dark green label and there is a male and female version. I'll check the name when I get home.

I have my fingers for you that you'll get your bfp!

I am not a fan of the BCP either. I feel like it makes me sooo moody.

Today, I just can't get it together. I don't feel like doing any work and I can hardly sit still. That may just be my mood today, though, so I guess I shouldn't blame it on the meds! I'm sooo close to IVF, yet I feel myself feeling more frustrated and impatient than ever. I feel like the closer it gets the worse the waitin gis.

Our RE does ICSI on every IVF anyway, and we knew we would need it anyway. Another thing we're doing is DH will go in before estimated ER and provide an additional sample, which they will freeze. Depending on how it looks, they may even have him give two additional samples. That will give us more swimmers to choose from if his sample on the day of ER is low or poor quality.

Fourth day of Lupron injections for me, and my tummy is starting to look like a pin cushion. So happy that tomorrow is my last BCP though! It just feels like another step along the way.

I am SO ready to stop taking bcp. I am really getting tired of injections, already! I've done more than this before, but it just seems like such a long time. haha. BUT I am so ready to start doing follistim and menopur because it means I will be so close to ER.

Box of meds arrived. Way too many needles, and lots of stuff I wasn't planning on. I had no idea I'd be getting so much hydrocodone and no idea I'd be getting an anti-anxiety pill (I'm assuming both things are for egg retrieval?) There's a few different antibiotics as well that I wasn't expecting. I'm just going with the flow and doing as told.

I go in for my HSG and Trial Transfer tomorrow at 11:30, and I will also start Lupron during that appointment. I am planning on going back to work afterward... is that crazy?

I am relieved to hear that BCP's are being b****es for many of you as well. I have definitely noticed a change, but more of a nauseating feeling than an emotional feeling (that wore off after the first few days!) I hardly touched my burrito bowl at Chipotle, and for me, that is a BIG deal!

I will upload my calendar tomorrow when I get home from the doctor. I am anxious to see when all of the medications are supposed to disappear!

My fridge and under the bathroom cabinet is like a pharmacy:-) I was presecribed valium but found it was for the ER and ET day as a muscle relaxant not so much for nerves as to keep the uterus (muscle lining) relaxed.
Who knows, it was the cheapest of everything so quite honestly I was ok with paying for it...LOL.

I had a LOT of nausea when I started the BCPs - loss of appetite and anything I ate just felt like a big lump in my stomach and made me feel sick for days. It did get better though after the first week or two.

I got two antibiotics in my "goodie box" from the pharmacy. One is for me to take from ER to ET as a pre-emptive strike against infection, since they will be introducing foreign objects down there. The other is for DH to take for several days prior to ER, in order to cut the chance of him having any kind of infection that could affect his specimen.

Ladies, I have to say I'm jealous that you got Valium and I didn't! I was considering requesting it even for my ultrasounds, because they are generally quite uncomfortable for me. One of my ovaries likes to play hide and seek, so it always takes longer than it should, and I feel like they're digging around in there with a shovel or something. Maybe I will give them a call tomorrow and see if they can hook me up.

Trial Embryo Transfer/ Sono Hyst

I didn't realize how much I would feel with the Trail Embryo Transfer and the Sono Hyst... WOW! I was such a trooper though... Had to switch catheters, kept bending them! HA... My cervix was very stubborn, wouldn't open, my RE had to dilate me, ouch... I didn't complain, even when she kept asking me if I was doing okay... I have some great news!! Last year my AFC was 10, today 25!!! I can't believe it, my one and only ovary that I have had surgery on twice has gone up on AFC's by 150 percent, yay! I just had to share. I have been crazy healthy, and maybe that has helped raise my AFC count?? Has anyone seen this before? Thank you for listening, I'm just so happy... <3
