I had the same situation. We decided to do the IVF. Does your insurance cover it? Well, we did it 3 times. Once with insurance coverage. We got pregnant 2 times but lost both pregnancies. We are ready to adopt and have started. This is just my personal experience. It depends how much time you want to spend on your fertility too. We don't want to spend any more time trying- because we know we want a family and thru adoption is the way it was meant to be for us. Good luck with your decision. Remember, its YOUR decision and don't let anyone persuade you. Do what you feel is right. We did.

Tweeters,

There are so many factors with adoption (just like IVF). We were having trouble getting pregnant and adoption is something that was always going to be a part of building our family, we just did that part first. There are factors to consider with domestic (within the US) adoption vs. international adoption. If you decide to go international (which we did), the fees can be different per country as well as whether or not you need to travel to the country (which adds cost). With domestic adoption, you can expect quite a long wait; again depending of different varriables.

It's such a long explaination, that this post can't do it justice but if you send me a pm, I will be happy to correspond through email.
