Baby Asprin???

Hi everyone! Ok I have heard alot of things about baby asprin in the other IVF forums . I wanted to know if any of you have heard about it? Apperently you can take 1 baby asprin a day and it can help to thin out your blood and help the implantation??? Anybody familiar with this?

thank you

My Doctor made me take 1 baby asprin with my vitamins during my IVF treatment. The only time I didn't was during retrivel.
Have you had any tests done to see why you haven't been successful yet?
I am going to be trying my 3rd IVF. None frozen, so from scratch. Maybe in MAy also.
However, I am in the middle of having a ton of bloodwork done to see why it may not have been successful the last 2 times.
Good luck

Hi JJ! Ihaven't had any blood work done until the 3rd attempt and they haven't told me anything except for the fact that I was not immune to Rubella, I had my 2 shots when I was a baby but it doesn't show in my blood so they sent me to get another shot but that was it as far as the blood work goes. Thank you

Good luck!!!

I've been taking 1 baby aspirin/day for over 6 months now. It's recommended not only for IVF but for unexplained infertility and from what I gather there are no negative consequences so I think it's a good idea for anyone ttc (unless of course they have a condition where it would be contraindicated). I've also recently been diagnosed with the MTHFR DNA mutation which is really common (40% of caucasions have it) and causes clotting problems in pregnancy. So baby aspirin along with heparin (or other blood thinner) is the treatment for this, also high dose of folic acid and other B vits.

Hi Ann-Marie! I wish you lots of luck on your first transfer! I am also sending you lots of baby dust your way as well! Please keep us posted! We called our clinic today to let them know that we took an HPT and that it turned out positive, our nurse was not in therefore it was a different nurse ..she asked us when our BETA is suppose to be and we said the 30th, she told us to scratch that date off, she told us she would take us out of our misery LOL so we are testing tomorrow but we will be getting the results on Tuesday....we will keep you posted!

Take care!

Mindy

Hi Mindy -

Woo Hoo for beta testing tomorrow! How exciting!! Our transfer today went well. They retrieved 4 eggs, but our RE had told us that he only expected 3, so we were happy with 4. They will be calling tomorrow with our fertilization resluts, and our ET is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday. The waiting is definitely the worst part of the whole process. I can deal with the ohysical pain and needles and what-have-you - it's the waiting that gets to me!

I have seen posts on here before about the grading system for the embryos. Do you happen to know what the different grades are and what they mean? I am off to search for them now!

Hi there AM we had our first ER on April 17th and when the lab was calling to give me the update the embyologist told me that they are graded from 1-3 the best quality eggs are at a one mine were all at 3 but they did tell me that they have seen grade 3 that have resulted in pregnancy so don't get scared if thats what they say. We will be doing ER #2 around the 3rd or 4th of July. I wish you the best of luck!! Is there anyone here that is receving tx in MN? Just curious!
Mel

Hi Mel and Mindy and everyone else,

Well, we had our ER yesterday and they got 4 eggs, which is one more than our RE was expecting. They called today and told us 3 out of the 4 fertilized. We are set for our ET on Wednesday, and they will tell us the grade of them that morning before the procedure.

Thank you all for the advice and the input. I'm praying for each of you!!
