Hi Yvonne - I've had 2 u/s already (my gyno was sweet and did a few early ones just to reassure me that something was going on in there!). We have only seen one gestational sac and possibly the yolk sac? I'm going in for my RE's 'official' u/s on Tues, May 30. I'm really praying to see the heartbeat. I think I'll only start to relax once I see that (tho I fear I'll be a bit anxious the entire 40 weeks, given the journey to get here!).
I totally understand your thoughts that these 2-3 weeks are exponentially harder than the 2ww after transfer/conception. I think it's because I know now that I have something to lose... Btw - here are my betas: 1st 112, +3 days 226, +7 days 514 (that one makes me think maybe we had 2 and lost 1?), +7 2904 (that one was very reassuring). Wishing you all the best - keep us posted!!

Everyone-
Thanks for saying such nice things and sending your good wishes my way. I really appreciate it... Chantal- I think I will relax after I am into the second trimester... everyone (RE/OBGYN) push the don't talk about it during the first trimester... they have me a bit nervous but hey... I put it into God's hands because I have to give it over... this is something I can't control and that is how I am dealing with the First trimester fears and doubts... Karen- One of my best friends had twins naturally... she believes she lost one... at about 8-10 weeks I think... not sure... she went on to have the twins at 32-34 weeks... |

Hi Yvonne -
Hooray for your wonderful news! I am so excited for you!! I know what you mean about being cautiously excited. Everytime we get good news or reach another step in this journey, I am excited for all of about 10 minutes. Then I start worrying about the next step and if everything will be ok then! When they called yesterday with out fertilization results, I was estatic. Then I started to worry about the ET and implantation! Man, it never ends! But you are right, it is in God's hands and I must trust in His plan. I just have to keep reminding myself of that. Good luck!! have a great day!! ~AM

I think the ET was not traumatic at all... if you have never gone through it... when they clean your cervix, it is uncomfortable... but other than that... not an ounce of pain. It was cool to watch on the ultrasound machine. Just stick to the bed rest... if you can do an extra day or two of very very low key activity. I believe for me that was the key... and maybe I am wrong, but the again maybe I'm not. Just no right answer.

Oh, the only thing that had me a bit worried is that you do get some cramping after ET, the same day and the next couple of days after...
