Saying hello and introductions

Hi everyone -

I am new to this site, having been introduced by a friend of mine a couple days ago. I love this site because you are all so positive and encouraging of each other.

After many delays and roadblocks, we are finally in the midst of our first IVF cycle. I am due for my HCG tonight and our ER will be Sunday morning at 9am. I never did the BCP. Instead we did a "straight start" due to my FSH levels being high in the past. My RE has said that based on my u/s and bloodwork now, we may only get three eggs. I wish he wasn't so pessimistic, but I guess he is just being honest. I don't know what is considered to be "good" blood work and what size follicles are considered "ready", so to speak, but we are going in with faith and lots of prayers.

I am looking forward to chatting with you all and I wish you all the best of luck!

~ Ann Marie

welcome

Hi Ann Marie... I am new to this site too. I have only been here for about a week and have found this site to be very informative and helpful. The women here are wonderful and very supportive. Good luck with your ET. I am just starting my first IVF cycle as well, and will start the stim drugs on 6/1. My FSH levels were good too, so we will see what happens. welcome, and i wish you all the luck... baby dust to you..... keep us informed of your progress.

No problem... I know that I have felt a bond between us. I look forward to seeing how others are doing. I like the fact that I am asking questions to people who and "been there and done that" from things like injections, to reactions, to symptoms... and even small talk.

New to ivf

Hi everyone,
I have been on Lupron for 8 days and I go tomorrow for bloodwork and ultrasound and will likely begin my follistim and repronex. After 2 miscarriages (after natural pregnancies), a lot of testing, 2 failed IUIs, and the discovery that my husband has poor sperm morphology and I have a weird uterine lining, we are attempting IVF. I'm actually excited, to be doing something to have the baby we want so much. I'm scared to death of needles so it took some practice for me to get used to injecting myself (I didn't want my husband to be solely responsible since he has to travel for work during part of the medication phase). Now I find the Lupron easy, but we'll see how it goes with the stimulating drugs that involve mixing. I'm no chemist! I'm so glad I found this site and would love to hear about other's cycles.
