I'm just wondering what you ladies think. I'm waiting to start BCP for my 2nd IVF cycle which is to be happening the end of June early July. My cycles are always on time like to the day I have never missed a period and rarely is my cycle even a day off. Well I have not gotten my period yet this month which should of came on the 27TH and I took a HPT yesterday (wed) and it was negative. Does anyone have any advice or experience with the HPT are they pretty accurate?? I'm just not sure what to think. Any advice would be great!! Thanks so much you guys have been great!

My friend was pg for 2 months before her hpt tested positive, so you never know! I would wait a couple of more days, test again and then if still no AF, see a doc for a blood test. You may not need IVF after all! Best of luck!

I agree. If you are pg, the embie may have implanted late and it's just not showing on the HPT. Definitely wait another couple of days and test again -- say on Sat.

Then, I'd call the dr if you still get a -- or if you get a +++.

I don't mean to be negative but I had this happen to me. My period was so late that the doctor decided to cancel my ET. I have always been on time and could not understand why. But I had done a full IVF cycle a few months before and my cycle had not caught up yet. Have you done a full IVF cycle recently? If not, then I think pregnancy may be a possibility.

Hi Mel ~Maybe you should get a BPT. They are supposed to be more accurate than HPT. Good Luck!

hi Mel.... I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. We may not be cycle buddies after all. Sounds like you may already be expecting. I hope that is the case. If I were you, I would call your doc and explain the situation. He/She may want you to have b/w done just to be sure. Make sure they are aware that you are waiting to start your next IVF, so you are anxious to know. I think the wait would kill me... GOOD LUCK!!! I am sending baby dust and good thoughts your way.

Hi when I was pregnant with my first child my son he's now 11, the HPT test showed negative and I waited and I waited for my period, my husband finally told me to get a blood test and it was positive. Not sure why it didn't show with the HPT, I would talk to your doctor and maybe get a blood test done.
