Introduction and Question...

Hi All! I am new to this site and wanted to introduce myself. I am currently in my 2 week waiting period. I had my ER on 05/20/06 and my ET on 05/23/06. We had 5 eggs fertilize and 2 embies were transferred. My pregnancy test is on 06/07/06.

My question is 8 days into my 2 week waiting period I started to notice a small amount of discharge with a hint of red to it. Then today, I noticed a bit of blood (blush in color) when I went to the bathroom. Is this normal?

I would call your RE but it sounds a bit like implantation spotting... my best friend had spotting with her IVF and she has a beautiful daughter that IVF cycle. So don't let it get you nervous... just keep being positive!!

Thanks for your advice. I have been through three IUI's as well and I have never seen this sort of thing before. I have a call into my RE and I'm awaiting her phone call. Do you know if implantation bleeding/spotting is normal?

Hi Murphy ~

I just has my ET yesterday and they specifically told us and gave us written instructions about spotting/bleeding and that it may not be a bad thing. We are instructed to call our doc, because as yvonne said, it may be implantation bleeding. Good luck - I am praying for you!!

AMKD and Yvonne -

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it! After my ET, I received instructions as well and it said that I may experience cramping, bleeding; etc. I was just concerned because for 8 days I had nothing. My doctor said the same thing.. Nothing to worry about and try to relax. I'm going to remain positive and hope and pray for the best!

Good luck to you as well AMKD! You will be in my prayers too!
