Cool Please help...Going crazy

Hello ladies,

I have been going "a little" crazy during the 2ww, luckily my 2ww is ending on 6/7/06. However, I have to say that I am so scared of that date. I keep changing my thoughts between thinking that I am pregnant, and thinking that I am not, and it's driving me crazy. I try and talk to my DH but he just doesn't understand how I feel. Is this a guy's thing? or is it that I married a guy who just doesn't understand??

Any way's back to why I am worried about being pregnant. We have been trying to conceive for 3 1/2 yrs. I tried clomed 7 times and in Jan I finally went to see Dr.V at the Markham clinic in Ontario, Canada and he told me I have PCOS and last month I finally did my IVF. I had my ER on 5/22/06 and had my ET on 5/27/06. I had 18 eggs removed and out of the 18 I only had 1 that was really good, and 1 that was ok. So I had 2 eggs transferred, and I honestly don't know if I can go through all of the needles, and stress about thinking about it again.

Ladies please help, tell me how you went and/are going through the 2ww, lets all try and help each other during our wait.

Good luck to you all.

Mihlya

Thumbs up

Hi Mihlya, I'm in the 'dreaded 2WW' with you, my ET was 5/30 and quite a few ladies will be testing around the same time. I stayed in bed for the first day and I have been homebound since, but today I have to get my progesterone level checked, so I must go out. Your DH is probably just as anxious as you, but guys try to be silent because someone has to be the 'sane' partner. Mine keeps telling me to take it easy, but he doesn't want to discuss the 'what ifs' right now. Next Wed will be here before you know it, read, watch TV, talk to friends about nonbaby things and this may help the time pass. Wishing you much success with those two embies.

Hi guys -

Mihlya, we are all right here with you. My ET was 5/31 and my BPT is scheduled for 6/12. I cannot believe I have to wait 10 more days to find out. I, too, go through stages thinking I am and am not pregnant - and it has only been two days! I try not to let myself overanalyze every feeling or twinge or symptom. I have been in bed for the last two days, but got up and went for my progesterone blood work this morning. Now I am at home and back in bed. I have been reading, watching tv and movies, and trying to talk to friends and family about other things to keep occupied. I used to walk every day, but I am not going to do that again until after my BPT.

Good luck to you. Try to stay ositive and know we are all right here with you!

I did the same thing... went back and forth guessing... I also coach a highschool sport... there are two coaches so during bed rest he took over (it ended up raining alot here so... I didn't miss anything) that following week I went and coached two all day tournaments and one match. So... once you have done your time, take it easy but get back to your routine. In my case it is tennis... I couldn't play but I could still coach. AMKD-if you normally walk a mile or two... then just go for short walk... maybe 4 blocks or something... it will help your mental state if you are getting cabin fever (I felt my mind get busy... didn't obsess over the if's or every twinge) So maybe Monday or Tuesday go for a short walk.

I tell you the 2ww for the BPT was easy compared to the 19 day wait for my ultrasound!!! LOL!!!

Good morning Yvonne ~

I normally do 4 miles in an hour every day - sometimes more, in an attempt to keep my sanity up until this point. I know I will not be doing that during pregnancy - well, not right away anyhow! I probably will get out there and start slow. I am just so scared to do anything right now. Maybe by next week I'll be thinking differently. But you're right - I will go much slower than my normal.

Have a great day.

I am had my ET on 5/26 and my first BPT is 6/5. I was fine the first few days but I am going crazy now! I laughed at everyone talking about the "I'm pregnant", "I'm not pregnant" changes that we are going through. My first IVF... the doctor told me that I would not feel anything and I didn't. This time, I do feel crampy and bloated and sometimes running a low grade temp. So, I hope that is a good sign.
One thing that I have wanted to do for a long time was put together a personal cook book of healthy recipes. So, I started doing that which has helped pass the time.
But it is nice to know that I am not alone. Thanks for going crazy with me.

I think that the going crazy period of time is the first 12 weeks, not the initial 2 ww. I am just glad that we all have each other to get through it...
