Now I'm heartbroken!

I had my repeat HCG today. It dropped. It went from 374 to 292. They think it is either ectopic or I will miscarry. I am heartbroken! They want me to have the level rechecked on friday. They said either way it is not a good thing, but they still want me to continue PIO's and estrogen patches. Does anyone know why? Has anyone else gone through this?

Oh, Laura, I am so, so sorry! That must have been such a shock since your first beta was such a strong number. When I miscarried, my HCG levels continued going up for a few weeks but not doubling anywhere near like they should have. Once my HCG started dropping, I started bleeding shortly after that. Have you had any bleeding?

Did they do an u/s or did they say you're still too early for them to see anything?

I am so sorry. I have been where you are and I know how devastating it is when they tell you it doesn't look good. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh Laura

I am so sorry to hear your news.....I didn't think my heart could break twice, but when I read your post it did. I know nothing I could say will make you feel better, I wish so much that I could.

You are not alone....I went to the RE today (my appointment was Friday, but I was feeling horrible (really lightheaded). My beta came back, I dropped from 78 to 55, it is over for me. I am stopping progesterone tonight.

I wouldn't wish this on anyone, there is nothing you can do...follow your doctor's orders and pray for a miracle. You will be in my prayers tonight, I hope things turn out better for you!

I am so sorry!

What a heartbreaking thing to hear. Your original beta was so strong, I never would have imagined it would go down. Let's pull together and pray for a miracle, hoping that by Friday the number goes back up. I think they just have you continuing the PIO and patches because you haven't miscarried, there is still a viable pregnancy there. Rest up. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Laura,

This is so heartbreaking I can't believe it! I am so so sorry to hear this and you will be in my thoughts. I have no idea why they would have you continue meds.

Hugs,

Laura,
I am so so so so so sorry. Words can't even explain the dissappointment and sadness you must be going through. I recently had a chemical pregnancy and it just sucks to go through all the elated feelings and expectations of things to come when you finally find out that you're pregnant. Hopefully things will have a drastic turn around on Friday. Prayers to you!

My thoughts are with you and my heart is heavy.

This really sucks. I am so sorry Laura. I don't know what else to say except maybe it was a crappy blood draw or something. Don't give up yet.....saying prayers for you.

Laura and Christina -
I'm so sorry that you both are experiencing this disappointment. There's nothing really that anyone can say to make it OK. Because it's not OK. Hang in there and be good to yourselves.

Your both in my thoughts and prayers.
