Hit a nerve?

Anyone ever hit a nerve getting an IM? I had to give myslef my PIO in my thigh last cycle (DH was in the hospital at the time) and I accidentally hit a nerve.
I have had numbness and tingling in that area since then- it was a good month ago now.
Anyone done this, too? How long does it take to go away?

I had a nurse accidentally hit a nerve a few years ago with an antibiotic shot. It made my entire leg go numb for a few hours. Then it took a several days to actually go away. Definately let your RE know.

Hi - my dh was out of town for a week so I had to go to the clinic for my PIO shots. I was expecting it to be easier/less painful... No way. Dh has the magic touch, apparently. A nurse hit a nerve in my rear/upper thigh and my whole butt cheek/upper thigh/lower back was affected (tmi!). That was in April and I still feel it. It alternates from pain to itching to numbness. Ironically, it'll probably just start feeling normal next week when I start IVF # 2's PIO shots! lol

Hopefully your symptoms will be less severe and go away more quickly. Good luck!
