I wish I had better news. My beta rose again to 157 & during my exam, I felt very tender on the left side (I am very worried it is ectopic). I went ahead with Methotrexate this afternoon. My clinic says I cannot try again for 3 months. Ughhhh. I think I am taking this harder than anything else.

Choller,
There are no words for how heartbreaking this is! I don't even know what to say except that I really truly feel for you and wish this wasn't happening. And to have to wait 3 months on top of it! Ugggg I know how hard the waiting is. You did not deserve this! I am thinking about you and just praying that your next cycle will be a success and this nightmare will be over for you. A big hug to you, Slobin |

I can't express how badly I feel for you. Waiting is probably the hardest thing about IF to begin with let alone three months. Can you at least try naturally?? Please take care of yourself - Lori

Thanks everybody....I am actually home from work today (despite a huge meeting) because the methotrexate was NOT PLEASANT (I am concerned because they said it would get the worst 4 days after the shot)....I really didn't think this would be a cake walk.
Lori...my clinic says absolutely no trying for 3 months (not even naturally, we actually have to use protection)...however they did say I could start BCPs in the 3rd month, so @ least I would be ready to go on the next IVF. (great, yet another thing that makes me nauseous) I am really starting to wonder if this whole thing (IUIs, IVFs) was a good idea....granted we weren't making any progress on our own, but @ least I wasn't nauseous all the time and BDing was still fun.

Christina,
Don't give up. Give it some time and revisit it couple of months later and see how you feel about it. I am so sorry about this cycle. I had to take that nasty methotrexate and wasn't a bit happy about it. Take your mind of this, I know it is easy said then done. Praying for you. Take care

After this dreadfulness is over this cycle, it might end up being a blessing in diguise to have a break. I have to take this month off, it really made me mad at first, but now I feel kind of releived. Yeah, no medication or u/s's!
Not that this makes you feel any better - I wish there was some way I could help you though. Lori xoxo
