Question Switching FSH

Hello New Friends!

Looks like my RE is switching me from Fostimon(another name for Follistim) which we used for the 1st "poor responding" cycle to Bravelle. Is the Bravelle stronger? More pure? Does anyone have any experience with something like this? Did one type of FSH not work for you, yet another one did?

I must have all of the knowledge you possess!

Thanks ~ Cheryl

I really dont know if it makes a difference. For my last cycle, they were going to use Repronex/HMG in the beginning and after 4 days add on Fostimon. I didnt reach there because there werent enough follicles and they cancelled the cycle. This time I am on Fostimon right from the begining. On the prescription sheet, Fostimon and Bravelle was on the same line and they could be replaced one over the other by the pharmacy. My doc, though had circled Bravelle, they gave me Fostimon. My RE's office said that is fine, it is just 2 different names used by different companies. So, I dont know if it makes a difference. Let me know your RE's thoughts.

I am now on the Bravelle for the first time. I really miss the follistim. No mixing, no pain. This Bravelle really burns (at least me). I have no idea what my outcome will be but my lining is good, my E2 levels are good and my follies are growing. I hope you have a great response to it with lots of big follies!!!

I think with all meds. people respond differently. So, maybe the change will make your follies respond! I was on Bravelle. It is a pain to have to mix it and it did definately burn!! Good Luck to ya!
