Not taking centrium, but you can take those children's chewable vitamins. My Ob/gyn told me that if I was going to take them, take 2. But then she gave me several prenatal samples and I found one that I handle pretty well- Prima Care One. It even has omega 3 fatty acids in it and it is a capsule. It is kinda big, but I can swallow it and believe me, if I can, anyone can! I had been taking Flinstones chewables up until last year

I am not taking them either but I also got about 3 - 4 month supply in samples from my nurse at the clinic. I got a bunch of the prima care that way. Ask over there. Might get some for free!

I am not taking them either, my RE gave me a prescription for prenatals. I have been on prenatal vitimins since june 2003 ~ and I also take a liquid vitimin called Vemma (Dr Oz thinks this is an awsome product) and since pills do not fully breakdown and liquids do, you know you are getting the correct amount of vitimins. If you want info on Vemma PM me.

Taking Rainbow Light (Food Based) Prenatal Vitamin, extra 400mg of Folic Acid and a Viactive Chewable Calcium. The Rainbow light are fairly large and I have issues remembering to take them, but have been consistent for the past week. My main issue is feeling sick when I don't have enough food in my stomach because of the iron.

The liquid Vitamins sound interesting, how's the taste?

the liquid vitimins taste like juice....it is just shot glass full. I love it! it is not sold in stores, but through reps. I have my reps info if you are interested in getting more infomation.
My perinatalogist said that with taking the vemma, and having twins, i did not need to double up on the prenatals, just one with an add'l folic acid. or if i wanted, i could cut the prenatals out and take 2 vemma's.
Since vemma has 8 g of sugar, I opted for just one....i want those other 8 g of sugar to splurge once in a while.
(I have diabetes and use an insulin pump)

My acupuncturist advised me to choose carefully which prenatal vitamins I take as a lot of them (especially the one tab a day kind) are crappy quality. She recommended the kind that you take 2 in the morning and one at night or whatever - your body can absorb the vitamins better that way. I am using Melaleuca right now and think they are pretty good. Good luck!
