Fluid / Mucus in Uterine Cavity?

After my ER last night, my doctor told me that I had an excessive amount of fluid / mucus in my uterine cavity. Dr. Google tells me this is called hydrometra. A search of "hydrometra + ivf" is not good. Has anyone had any visible amounts of fluid in their uterus during a transvaginal ultrasound? If so, how was it treated and did it return?

I'm worried that my ET is going to be cancelled.

ugh

i have never heard of it, does it have to do with having hydrosalpynx tubes? i know this fluid drains into the uterine cavity and can cause embryos to arrest before they can even implant.
if this is the same fluid, i would talk with your RE about your options.

my RE clipped my left tube before they would consider ivf, my first ivf was sucessful in resulting in a pregnancy of both transfered embryos.

Good luck!!!

Thank you Charms. I actually just returned back from my mock transfer appointment and the fluid is now gone. Whew!

I was very concerned about it because Dr. Google says that that usually forms from blocked tubes, and my tubes are wide open. Transfer is all set for thursday
