Well, I'm glad that you got a lot of your stuff done! I didn't use to have a hard time getting a hold of anybody at the Webster office until the trials started and then it got really busy. What I've found helps is that if you leave a good message on the nurse triage line, somebody always calls me back by the end of the day if not sooner. Also, what I've done if I REALLY needed to talk to someone was called the appointment line and then ask them who to talk too. So if you need to talk to billing, call the number for appointments and ask them to switch you.

Hope that helps!

Well I had my day 3 b/w on Monday (3/3). I have to go back on 3/10 for my sono-histogram. I hope it doesn't hurt. I then have to wait for my next cycle to start (around 3/29) so I can start the bcp. Does anyone know what the timeline would be for er with the 3/29 period?
I've never had IVF. I'm assuming it would be late April to early May.
My dh had his b/w and s/a on Saturday (3/1)

I hope we all get !!!!!

Congrats! Well, when I had my SNG, they told me it wouldn't hurt that bad...but they lied. I mean it wasn't TERRIBLE, but it felt like a really bad cramping PMS day for me. But that also may be that I had a slightly blocked tube that become unblocked during the SNG so that may have been what happened. Hope that helps!

JH,

The sonohistogram feels like a really intense menstral cramp. It's an odd feeling in that they inflate your uterus with saline and then do a vaginal ultrasound. I'm sure it feels like it takes a lot longer than it actually does. After the test (TMI) the saline comes back out. I had mine done today along with a pap and ultrasound. Did you already have an HSG test done?

Your timeline would probably look like this:
4/18 - Lupron start
5/2 - Stims start
5/11 - trigger
5/13 - ER
5/18 - ET

This is just a guestimate (sp?) based on the typical protocol that Maryanne gave me.

Did everyone have to do a sonohystogram? I didn't have one done. Kristen, do you think it's maybe because I already had an hsg?

How's everyone doing?

I agree with Kristen about leaving a message on the triage line. Someone will usually call you back on the same day. I also email Maryanne when I need something. Sometime I'll email more than once. If she's by her computer she responds pretty quickly and if it's something that's really important or you just can't get a good answer via email, she will call you.

You have to have some sort of uterine eval. such as the HSG or the sonohsytogram or something else with a scope within the last year.... I am having to have a 3rd HSG since my first two were done by a quack of a Dr. .... thing is I don't have any tubes anymore! ....my RE promises it won't hurt as she will only use a small amount of dye since we are only needing to see my uterus but yeah right I don't believe her but I guess we will see.... I go for that on Fri @ 12:30.... wish me luck!

Yes, Marcia is right, you have to have had an HSG or an SNG within the past year. So Janice did you have your stuff that showed that when you saw Maryanne??

Marcia, I don't know which is more painful...HSG or SNG or if they are about the same. Good luck with your appointment on Friday!!

I made it to Houston Monday night after a long day of driving while sick with a virus I stayed at the Days Inn for $57.00 a night and made it to my appt at 9. I was only there until 11 and they got the vaginal ultrasound and Pap out of the way. They were unable to do the mock transfer and HSG that day so I have to wait around until Thur at 1pm to get this done and then I am headed back to KS. I am on CD 5 so I probably won't be able to start this cycle, as they won't have all my bloodwork back yet. It actually works out for the better so I can get a little more organized with work. One of the nurses is from KS so she really made me feel comfortable. Good luck Houston ladies. I should be back in a few weeks to start my Lupron.

I have had two HSG's done. One in March 06. That one showed my tubes were both blocked. I had the lap surgery May 06 to unblock the tubes. It worked but still couldn't get pregnant. I had another HSG done Dec 06 to make sure my tubes were still opened. I guess they thought that was to far out of the year window. The HSG's weren't to bad but the second hurt a little more than the first. I guess because the dye actually flowed through the tubes.

My 13th wedding anniversary is in May. would be a great gift!!

Kristen, I just brought my reults from my HSG that I had done in Lubbock in October and that was good.

Marcia, I have had both done and I would definitely say HSG is more painful. With the HSG I had torodol and atropine and took a muscle relaxant and it was just a little crampy. Without the meds, I would have been very uncomfortable. My tubes are open so the dye flowed freely. I read other peoples posts in the forum with blocked tubes that were very uncomfortable during their HSG.
With the sonohysterogram, they said I needed a full bladder. Besides the being uncomfortable b/c of my bladder, it wasn't bad. There was a little cramping afterwards but it wasn't anything motrin didn't take care of.
Without tubes though, it probably won't make a difference in the pain, but I'm not sure. Good luck!!!

Webb, wow you drove from Kansas? That is a long drive! I'm sorry you are sick and having to take so much time for the intial testing. I hope everything goes well!
