Houston girls, dinner tonight??

Hey Megan, Janice, Kari, Jenifer and anyone else in the area...anybody interested in going to dinner tonight?? I could do Mario's again or someplace else?? Although I like the buffet idea...

Kari - I know you are on bed rest, but you can probably come out for a quick dinner too

I'm not 100% positive yet that I can make it but I'm doing better today. I have an appointment with a neurologist today to see about getting something for my migraines. Vicodin's not cutting it. But I am doing better so far today but the headaches usually hit in the afternoon.

Jenifer, I thought with the study they didn't give you the Beta results till the second one? Although maybe that's only certain offices? I know that Valium was supposed to be taken out of the ET procedure but a lady on another board had her ET yesterday and she got Valium....so ?? I hope they give you your Beta number....since you already know it's a positive

I asked Maryanne about this question (Nurse at CORM here in Houston) and she said they will give you your beta if it's obvious you are pregnant (i.e. high first beta)...the waiting for the second beta is more for those who have low first initial betas (i.e. less than 10 or 15) and they normally would say it is negative. At our clinic, they consider less than 10 to be negative...but they also realize that they are doing their testing really early now so they need to be a little more relaxed in what they call "negative" or "chemical". So I would think that since Jenifer is already showing a BFP on her blood work they can tell her beta numbers to her.

Hmmm, that's an odd way to deal with it. I think going back to telling everyone their Beta and if it was low then explaining what that means to those patients would be more professional. Maybe a lot of the patients don't know though and they don't have contact with other patients....so that won't be pressure for them. If I went in there for my first Beta though and they said "sorry, we can't tell you till the next one" I'd be even more sick knowing that they told the other girl hers, what's wrong with mine? Maybe just me though.

I'm glad that it's not going to be a study wide thing though....so my location will probably give me my numbers then or tell me it's negative....one less thing to worry about.

Jennifer- Congrats on the positive HPT!!!Kristen- I wish I could go out with you guys, but that would make too many trips down there in one week. I would like to try to get together when I'm down for my ER since I'll be down for a few days and staying in a hotel.

Yeah, I agree...just tell me what the number is and if it's "low" than tell me to be cautiously optimistic you know?? LOL. I hear ya!

I just want to cry right now. I came home to eat some lunch before going to my doctor appointment and my pit bull decided to get sick (and not the vomit kind) all over his kennel. Then he attacked my puppy while outside (I have no idea why) and now the puppy is bleeding. So I'm just really overwhelmed at the moment and crying (emotional outbursts just stink) and waiting for DH to get home to help me. I did not need this right now...ugh...ok, I feel better having gotten that off my chest...does anybody want a dog?? I'd be happy to get rid of all three of them at this point....

Kristin,

they may sound crazy, but are you on your cycle? My DH's dogs used to fight when I went around them years ago when I was on it. They were doberman pinchers though.

Well I am set for ER on Tuesday at 9:30. I did the triiger last night at 10:30, didn't feel a thing. I had a nurse friend do it and I was dreading it the whole time, then I didn't even know she had done it. But this morning is another thing! Man by hip/butt hurts!!! I can barely walk. I'm limping around work. :-)
I have everyone in my prayers still.

Nothings crazy at this point. Well, I just got off my cycle so I don't think that's it. I think what is the problem is DH decided to give the Pitt a pig bone last night from a pig roast we went to over the weekend. So that's what has made him sick...then the pig bone pieces that were all over the yard were just too tempting for the puppy and the pitt got a little ticked off that the little one was eating his grub and attacked him.

So to add to my horrible day...I take off work early to go to the neurologist and had DH come pick me up since his office was around the corner from the DR. By the time we get there the nurse calls me (as we are pulling in the parking lot) and says she screwed up and made my appt for next Monday not today. WTH? So the earliest they can reschedule me is for Wednesday (which by the way is when I'm supposed to be in NYC for my friend's 40th birthday party)...and I can't fly with this migraine so guess where I'm NOT going...

OH and then to top it off, when I got home, I got the puppy out of his kennel to make sure he wasn't hurt from when the pitt got him and he rolls over and sprays urine all over me.

Sooo...needless to say, today has been a MONDAY!!! Thought you all might enjoy my horrible day tale...LOL! Off to capture the updates! Hope everyone else is doing better than I am at this point.
