Did someone say that you can tell if you will get the ring or the gel by whether your study number ends with a positive or negative number? Mine is positive, I thought someone said that might mean you get the gel?

Kari, I think it's a good sign! It is hard getting back to work! I'm back for the first time today and I am tired!!! The waiting is hard! The best thing I can say is to try and keep busy. Watch movies or read b/c it get's you out of your own reality and takes you away from thinking about it so much. I'm hoping and prayin for you!

Yes, I heard something about it... My number ends with an odd number... maybe it's a code for them, but most of the girls got the ring.

How do they decide if you are going to put back 2 or 3 embies???? Does anyone know?

Quick question...how did you gals find out about the grape juice and pineapple and about drinking gatorade? I want to do anything that will help. You drink the grape juice and eat the pineable after ER, right? What about the gatorade? Will my RE tell me when and how much?

Sheris- I took a fresh pineapple and cut it into 5 good slices. Then chopped each into four. That was enough for 5 days. I heard your supposed to eat the core and all. I tried as much as I could, but it was tough. Welch's grape juice - only a small glass per day. Gatorade helps after the ER... I still drink it everyday since... GL. ( I love the G 2 grape flavored)

Hi Study Girls -

I'm still taking BCP's and am waiting until next week to find out my final blood test results from the study. (I'm doing the study at my RE's in Chicago.) At that time my nurse said she'll give me my schedule.

What can I expect when doing the study? So far it's been pretty much like my last IVF. I haven't been given any kind of special instructions per the study. I've read that you're having to journal - is that true?

Thanks and I can't wait to get the ball rolling!

Thanks for the info. And from the looks of it...you know what you're talking about!!! Congrats!!

When do you start eating the pineapple and drinking the grape juice...right after your ER...for 5 days? Then just drink Gatorade after that??

Thanks- still waiting for my call today on my #1 beta..

I only ate it for 5 days, supposed to help with implantation (help me girls if I'm wrong). Gatorade helps after ER and OHSS. Dr. asked up to eat protien bars/shakes, drink gatorade, water, and Ensure. I did that for about 3 days after ER. now all I drink is Gatorade, water, sprite or 7up. My tummy has been totally upset, so not much more I can stand.

when did MA call you w/ #'s? I'm fixin to call that woman! I got up at 4:00am and it's been a long day and I want to go home!

I ended up calling around 2pm and they told me that Dr.Schnell had been running behind in the morning and the nurses will not call until they have discussed the results with her so that's probably what they're doing now and they'll call right after that. BTW, you can probably ask when all of your next appts are when you get that positive beta. I have the schedule for beta #3 and 3 u/s after that...

Hi Gals

So my surgery went very well. RE ended up finding 2 pretty good size fibroids, one endometrial polyp, and the biggest issue a setum uterus.. Which is probably the cause of all my recurrent m/c's. But he cleaned me good and repaired everything and I feel great. FINALLY!!!
They put a balloon in my uterus which will be removed MOnday at my follow up visit. I got very worried when I read a prior post and saw that they were not accepting anymore patients for the study, since I technically have not been acepted in yet because of outcome of surgery. So I freaked and imeadiately emailed RE office to the study coordinator ? this. She then sent me an email back saying that I needed to drive to Austin today or tommorrw to sign consents...Then she sent me a different email since I have an appointment already Monday to come in I can just wait.. MAN that scared the crap out of me..
My question is.. by signing the consents will that mean I I'm offically In??

Also I love seeing the new BFP>> Congrates to you all ladies..

Lua, your numbers are awesome!!! I can't wait to hear your fert report!

Welcome Molly!!! The study is pretty much like any other IVF cycle until you get to the progesterone supplementation. Then they will either give you the crinone or the ring. That's about the only difference. Good luck!

babywishes, I don't think you can tell by your study number. They did use even and odd for gonal F versus follistim but not the ring b/c I had and odd and I got the ring and Melanee had an even and also got the ring. I'm not sure how they're doing it.

Heather, I hope your IUI cycles bring you a bfp! Good luck to you!
