I hope you're doing better. See if the office can give you an antibiotic like z-pak that is not as hard on your stomach. Doxy is a broad spectrum antibiotic, but they should be able to give you something else, b/c it is important for us to take.

Hey janice -

Unfortunately, Mel and DH are leaving tonight so it's a quick trip. They asked me to go to the U/S but I felt it was a family thing . We are meeting up with Maryanne for lunch though in a little bit so I'll ask her about the antibiotic. I take them when I can but I know it's probably not good enough. Maybe we'll go eat Mexican for lunch in your honor! LOL. However, the Mexican might be why you're gassy!!!

PS - You should see Melanee's boobs!!! THEY ARE HUGE!!!!! LOL!! First thing I said when I saw her this morning (she got in at 2 am so I was asleep) was, "DANG, YOUR BOOBS ARE HUGE!!!!". Wish I had that problem!!!

Congrats on all the and to the others. This is a long process to endure but it helps to have others to talk with that are doing it to!

I'm horrible about responding to each and every post. But please know I have each and everyone in my thoughts and prayers.

Todd called and I have (6) 8-cell and (6) 4-cell
I go for the transfer at 8:00 am on Sunday.

My friend only has (3) 2-cell. They are doing a 3 day transfer on Saturday. Do you think those will be good enough?

Jean - Those sound like great embies for you! Congrats! They are most likely doing the 3-day transfer because she only has three growing right now (not necessarily because of the cell count). Sounds like she's only on day 2 right now, which having a 2 cell on day 2 is normal.

Maribeth,
Thanks!
You know every case is different and things are constantly changing. We were lucky and I was able to do a lot of stuff in Beaumont. I did have to go to Webster when my appointments fell on a weekend. For us that was only a couple of times. The ER and ET have to be done in Webster. Since we had to be there so early we stayed in a hotel both times. Keep that in mind as an added expense. Sometimes Dr. Schnell will require you to stay after the procedure, but that is determined by how everything went. You will also get your study drugs from Webster, so plan on that trip. I was told yesterday that the rest of my appointments will be in Webster since they entail needing an OB ultrasound. In the end the cost is no where near what we would have to pay outside of a study. We’ve done IUI in the past and that cost us more than what we’ve spent so far. When you do have to go over make the best of it. I try to make a point to go to some of my favorite stores and do a little shopping for myself before I head home. I hope I have answered your questions and this helps. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Good Luck!
Amber

Well, Melanee and her DH are here today! Woohoo! They brought me a surprise, Melanee brought her mom! So I get to meet mom too! I feel like a part of their family now...lol! She has an u/s at CORM today so I think I may try to sneak into the room and see the u/s with them . Think they have a room limit??

Hope everyone has a great day!

For the last week I have been nauseous all day long. It’s getting worse each day. But it is all worth it.

Wink It's Official -!

I am officially .

My actual levels on Wednesday were 5.4 and progestrone 4.4 (really low) and today they are 2.6.

I out of the "waiting time".

I have my IVF exit exam on Friday 05/23 and my Dr. Schnell FET follow up on Saturday.

We are going to be able to move right on ahead to FET.

I am really excited about the FET!

I think that the negative had something to do with all of trauma that my body was thinking I was going though.
They took out 30 eggs - only 17 were mature! I felt so awful!

Also my progestrone levels were really low. The nurse said that the ring/gel would not register in your blood stream. I know my previous pregnancy and previous attempts were had to increase, increase, and increase the progestrone to help sustain the pregnancy.
I am so grateful for all your support!

I am not going anywhere!

I love being around for all of the exciting !

I am so happy for all of you! I know I will be there too, soon!

We are going out for margaritas tonight - if any (that can) want to join us!

Thanks,

Megan

Beta #2

Beta #2 was 734!! YAY!! I was pretty nervous waiting to hear that number. I feel much better now about this. We are going to tell the people that knew we were doing ivf. They know that it is still early. I told my mom, my two best friends, and my brother and sil. At least this way, if something bad happens they can be there for us. BUT I'm staying positive!!

I am feeling pretty crappy and nauseous all of the time. I was sick this morning. I woke up feeling bad, ate a cracker and drank a sip of water and then was sick... This is going to be a long first trimester.. But I'm just happy that it is happening.

Beta #3 is Tuesday in Webster at 9:00 am.

Megan... I'm sorry that it didn't work out this time. But I'm glad you are staying upbeat. You have 7 little frozen babies that need their momma! Enjoy the margaritas!!

babydust** You asked how long we took off after ER? I had ER on a Wednesday morning. I was of course off the next day, and I was feeling really bad. I went in to work for a little while the following day (Friday) but I probably should have stayed home. I started cramping and my tummy was upset. But I think my tummy could have been upset from the iv antibiotics I had to take for a minor heart condition. That Saturday I felt better, but I still laid on the couch most of the day. Then Sunday I was much better.

Hope this helps.

Megan, I am so sorry for the bfn. I'm glad you're not in limbo h*ll though. I hope you get great results from the FET!!! Drink up Megan. Have fun tomorrow.

babywishes, I off the day of ER and 2 days after. I was pretty much ok by the second day after, just tired and bloated. I worked from home after that until ET. After ET I was off for a while trying not to stress out, but you only have to be on bedrest for 2 days so you could go back to work after that. Maybe you could used some unpaid leave of absence?

Hollie, what a great beta!!! Congratulations!!! I had a friend tell me today that those who have bad morning sickness usually end up with girls...I know it's just people talking, but who knows, you may have a little girl in there!

Jean, congrats on your embabies! They sound like they're doing just great! As for your friend, I think she's in good shape. I only had 4 embabies and on day 2, I had 2 2-cell and 2 4-cell. I ended up with 3 blasts from those little embabies.

Kristen, I can't picture Melanee with big boobs. She's so tiny! You can have some of mine any day!

Hello to everyone! I am headachy today and tired!

I went in today for my baseline sono before starting stims, and everything was fine. They had estimated my period would start yesterday, but it started this morning, so I'm starting stims tomorrow night instead of tonight. I have to say, I'm a little afraid about the Gonal-F pen, it's sort of weird, but hopefully I can figure it out! The needle looks larger than the Lupron needle, but it's only for 10 days, I can do this!!
