Unhappy Kari -

There is still hope!

I went through the same thing - on Mother's Day!

If the worst does happen, the FET is available right away.

They were saying that I probably will not even have to sit out a cycle - no BCP or anything.

I have my exit meeting (to turn everything in), get more blood work, and an exam on this Friday!

This is 2 days after my 30th B-day!

If you are available - we are having my party on Saturday! I will have the margarita machine going (but you may not be able to drink!)

I have my FET meeting with Dr. Schnell on Saturday!

Thanks Megan for the support. I really need it right now. DH isn't liking it that I am so upset. This was suppose to be a good birthday for me. I know there is still hope, but not counting on it. I will be there on 5/20 and hopefully won't have to come back again. I am hoping they can get everything they need from me then. We will do our FET in KS and John will be the embryologist since he works with my DR here. We our going to Table Rock lake for the weekend so that will be good for my mind.

Megan - Sounds like fun! Not sure what we have going on next weekend but we'll keep in touch! I think Janice and Jenifer are meeting for brunch tomorrow at 9:30 at Mamacitas if you want to go. I'm going to try and make it but we have SS and a friend of his here this weekend so not sure I can get away yet. I'm going to try and go. Call my cell if you want to meet us.

Kari - The weekend trip sounds like what you will need. Be thankful that you have the FET option and it's great that John can be there to do it for you! That will make things much easier for you stresswise!

Happy Birthday next week to both of you and I'm sorry it couldn't be on happier terms . Trust me, I've been where you both are with the first IVF not working but it somehow made me feel better knowing that I had an option available to work with. I wish I had had a FET option available last time so I'm so happy that you both do. Sending you both hugs!

Oops, Megan this is where I went for my accupuncture in downtown Houston. The place is very small and it will probably be great for a FET. I would use it now if the study would allow it. I would try to make an appointment with the wife because she seems to do more of the infertility type acupuncture, you can read some of their testimonials. I'm sure there are other places that may be closer if you don't want to go downtown. They are about $60/treatment.

Acupuncture Houston,TX - Houston Acupuncture and Herb Clinic, Houston, TX

Good luck!

I know I am glad we have 5 little ones to work with. We will still have to figure out how to pay for these cycles since we spent so much on our trips to Houston and the $1200 fees. When I ask DH what are we going to do. He keeps saying we have 5 on ice what more do you want. I just want him to make me feel better and he isn't the most sensitive person. Luckily Maddie is snuggling with me right now.

Men just aren't outwardly sensitive in general. He's probably having a hard time dealing with the disappointment too and doesn't know how to show it. My dogs have had LOTS of tears shed on them too. That's why we have each other on the boards to lean on. Just give it some time, you don't have to rush into the FET just yet, just know that they are there when you are ready. It's such an emotional roller coaster we are on. But I also think you should hold out a little hope still till Tuesday...cautiously optimistic is what I call it. You never know what the future holds. Wish I could give you a hug honey...guess this will have to do... .

YAY, I know that first shot I was sooooo excited and gave it to myself without even blinking LOL Sick, naw....we're just determined.

I'm so happy...today was my last BCP!!! I get to go in on Thursday for my baseline and then it seems like it just ZOOMS by. I'll start stims on the same day if all goes well with the u/s and then go back for my monitor u/s starting on the 25th....from there if all goes well I'll have ER and ET the very next week!!! So in 2 weeks I could be PUPO!!!! HPT here I come LOL, yes I know...but I have no will power. I bought 25 strips and plan on using one every day after ET to see when the trigger leaves my system.

So how long are you on Lupron before estimated stims? I really really hope and pray that my u/s goes well and nothing holds me up....too bad there are no signs to know if you're suppressed or not LOL Oh and praying that my comes soon too....since last BCP is today, maybe she'll show up in the next week.

Well, good luck again on that Lupron....are you on 10 units? That isn't bad at all, and I barely have any bruising either I guess that'll start with the stims? Oh and no headaches yet either....maybe you'll get through Lupron without them too

So sorry to hear the news Kari, that is wonderful that you have 5 frosties to work with! I know the heartache you are feeling though, I have been in your shoes two previous times.

Well I started the Lupron on Friday. Friday was not so bad with side effects, however yesterday I felt badly all day, and now today I have a headache and am EXHAUSTED. I am not complaining, but wow it is going to be a rough few days My poor students are going to wonder what happened to their sweet teacher over the weekend. Thankfully we only have 7 1/2 days of school left!! Hopefully my body will just get used to the Lupron and come to accept it.

Kari, I'm so sorry. I'm so glad you have the FET option ready and waiting, that is so great!

I started stims last night--it wasn't too bad, I think the worst was just having to do two shots. The anticipation is the worst, it doesn't hurt, it's just hard for me to stick myself! I'm really excited to have started though!

Was there a reason they wanted you to start the next night after the baseline? On my calendar I noticed that it says my estimated date of stim start is 5/22....but that's the day of my baseline so I thought it sounded odd....guess it's normal? I kept thinking I'd start on the 25th....so the 22nd is nice that'll just be that much quicker I can get those follies growing! Best of luck on your follies!
Hey IndieBlue, sorry just catching up on all the posts! My estimated start date for the stims had been the date of my baseline, but I guess that estimate was based on the fact that they thought Day 1 of my cycle would be the day before the baseline. I ended up not starting until the day of my baseline, so they said I needed to start on Day 2, so I started stims the day after. I don't know if that's how every RE does it or not.

Hey ladies...

I am not new to the forum but have been reading this thread for the last few days trying to catch up. I am KICKING myself that I am just now joining you ladies. When I saw the thread title weeks ago I assumed it was just talking about the study in Houston and didn't think to pop in. Well I have been in the same Durmed study in Austin for months and wish I could have joined you ladies from the beginning of my journey to share the excitement that you all have been feeling together.

First off, i am SOOOO happy for all the BFP that i have see on this thread. Secondly, i truely admire all of the strong women here that have not had the best news and continue to perserve!! My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Like i said earlier i am a part of the Austin study at Texas Fertility Clinic and i want to say what a blessing it has been for me and my DH. TFC is amazing!!! We got into the study very early and was actually the 2nd person to be randomized (i got the ring). So by the grace of God we have been blessed with a . We are soo excited. We have had 3 betas so far (160, 480, and 2917) and are anxiously awaiting our 1st U/S on 5/23. So please keep us in your prayers as i will for each of you.

I can't wait to continue see from everyone.
