Ughhhh!!

I just called my RE Nurse to get my shot schedule and while it appears that everything is OK and I can proceed with the study, they won't be able to up the dosage on my meds b/c of the study parameters.

My last cycle (IVF #1) didn't produce many follies due to endo cysts in my ovaries. This cycle my RE was hoping to either change the protocol or up my dosage of Follastim/Menopur to try and increase the amount of follies. Looks like you can't do either with the study!

I forgot to ask the nurse what the max amount of Follastim you can take. Is anyone else on a high dose? Last cycle I started out at 300 i.u.'s and ended up having to up to 450. Looks like the study won't permit you to take 450 iu.

I hope this doesn't doom me from the start...

Am feeling very frustrated...

Beta #3 in

Beta #3 was 2189! It didn't exactly quadruple. It's been 4 days since my last beta, but it did triple. The nurse said the numbers are good, so I'm not worrying about it. She said they should double every two or three days. I'm going to enjoy this.

I did 300 iui of follistim and 75 menopur. I really hope this works for you. Also, I seem to remember someone doing stims in the am and pm. So maybe that would help you...

Okay, I'm freaking out a little bit. I went in for my u/s, 3 days after starting my stims. I had 11 follies, ranging from 3 to 8, but 7 of the 11 were at 5. I had no idea whether this was good or bad, but then my RE said they were upping my dosage to 225iu's of Gonal-F, and that it was too soon to worry about anything. Of course, that immediately made me worry!! Should I have more than that? Should they be larger than that? I'm worried now.

Rose - You are SOOOOO PUPO x 2 congratulations!!!!!

Holli - Thank you for the information on the Beta's. Congratulations to you and your great BETA numbers!!!

Babywishes - Well for my 1st Ultrasound following my stims I had 11 follicles measuring between 10 and 14. They had to decrease my stims because I was responding too well and my estrogen was rising too fast. I was concerned and they had to decrease my follistim to 75 from 150. But they are really good and they kept up with making sure I was progressing well and safely. I wouldn't worry about it at all. They are just doing whatever they can to make sure you finish and get to the retrieval with good results. They want good results from the study too so they don't have to cancel your cycle. I went through stims in January and my regular RE was a lot less consciousness about my levels than CORM. They will take GREAT care of you and I am sure everything will be just fine. Try not to worry!!!! GROW FOLLIES GROW!!!

Well 2 more days until I start Lupron. My days seem to drag, all this waiting. When my 2ww comes it's going to be hell. DH has diabetes so I took one of his needles to see if it would hurt when I have to give myself the injections, I know weird. I like to see what I'm getting into if I can. It didn't hurt at all. I'm so happy to see all these BFP's!!!! Right now the birth control pills have stopped giving me headaches and making me feel sick. I feel really crampy like I'm going to start, but I still have another week on BCP's. It's nice to have this forum to look to for questions and updates. Well Good Luck to everyone with whatever your next step is.

Although they can't stim you at that high of a level, they can stim you for longer to make sure you get good follies. I had to stim for a couple extra days. Good luck.

I made it back home safely after a long day in the air. I was confirmed which I already knew so no shock. I was shocked to run into Kristin. I was so glad to see you Kristin! I am doing much better after talking to John about why it didn't work. He thinks the ET was too hard on me and he told me before the ET he was counting on me getting pregnant. I am actually going to do my FET in Houston instead of KS. Since Dr. Schnell already knows what to do to get the cath in and that I will need an abundance amount of valium to calm my uterus down. Does anyone know how much Corm charges for FET?

Corm!

According to my paperwork - we locked in a contract price of FET at $2500!

This does not include the meds.

I have my Dr. Schnell planning meeting on Saturday!
