Thank you Kristen, Jenifer and Hollie for the information on # of embryos we can transfer.

Husband and I are strongly considering 3. I guess it will depend on the quality of the embryos on Saturday and then we can discuss with Dr. Schnell.

Kristen - it was good to hear from you!!! Hope you are having fun!!!

Kari - Maryanne told me that the total cost of the FET would be approx $5500. I asked her at the initial screening. She said that is a good estimate for the entire total. We are planning on doing FET in January if this doesn't work.

Hmm, during my baseline the tech kept counting and moving the probe around, like they do when they are counting follicles? She did say that my cyst had reduced in size to 16mm (from 18mm)...but that if it wasn't messing with b/w then we would proceed with stims tonight It's always been 18mm, on cd3-cd9....so I don't think it'll mess with anything

I should have asked her about her 'counting' LOL I figured the ovaries still had follicles but that they just weren't producing an egg or something and so she was counting the empty follicles. Oh and my lining was 5.9? But I'm also on cd2...so it's probably a little thin due to that.

Here's hoping I can start in the stims column tonight instead of the 25th or later.

Help !!

Ladies I need you advice..

Last Monday I had the balloon taken out from the surgery prior two weeks. Once removed I did have some pretty heavy bleeding but then it stopped Tues Evening or I should say slowed down. My RE had me continue to take Prog and Estrogen for the next ten days and then advise to stop and I should then get my period following that and then to contact my study coordinator.Well Yesterday I started to bleed again and its getting heavier now. I am worried that I am starting my AF. So I emailed my study contact to ask this very question what I should do, but then she replied "Nothing you will have to wait until next period.
My question is, do you think it could still just be bleeding from the surgery/healing/and removal of the balloon or could it be AF. And if it is AF why wait for my next cycle..Thanks for any suggestions and help...

Just impatient to start already

Indie, you're right. They do count antral follies at your baseline U/S. We almost always have some antral follicles. When we stim, some or all of those antral follicles grow to produce mature eggs. They are counting the numbers of antral follicles on either side and measuring to make sure that those follies are under 10mm before they tell your to start stimming. Your lining looks good. On my baseline u/s my lining was only a little above 3mm and by the time I had ER, it was al the way up to 15mm. It'll grow. Don't worry!!!

It could still be bleeding from the surgery. I'm not sure. They probably want you to wait fo rthe next AF so that it is more like your normal cycles. They want everything to be as normal as possibl ein your body before you start an IVF cycle. I know it's hard to wait, but the time will go by pretty fast when you are able to look back on it. I had to wait an extra cycel before I started my IVF cycle because my first AF was a little weird. They had me wait an extra month and I'm thankful, because so far, I have my bfp.

Thanks Janice for the information on the follicles. I started thinking maybe she was counting something else LOL I always have around 5-6 on each side....I think she counted 7-8 at one point in my cycle on one side...but usually 5-6 is standard. I'm glad that lining looks good too. It was 6 last time they did a measurement on cd3...so again I think that's pretty normal for my body.

Can't wait to hear from the doctors....praying for stims!!!

Nikki: I can understand your frustration....I hate WAITING!!! They are all so relaxed about it too...or atleast my doctor's office is, a month is a LONG time in this process LOL I really hope it's smooth sailing from here on out!

Well girls, I think I'm getting closer to starting my cycle. These last few weeks have been dragging. I'm so excited to get this process rolling along but just won't come soon enough. I'm on CD29 today and I usually go to about 30-couple days. I know though as soon as I start my BCP I'll just be more excited to start the Lupron...it's a vicious cycle!!

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this forum but I will be posting more often as I get started with my study. SheriS I am exactly where you are in my cycle! I should be starting any day now- the cramps and all that are here-just waiting on her!

I have a beautiful 4 yr old son from IVF/ICSI and I have had failed attempts since having him. I did the Serono study back in April and of the 22 eggs none of them fertilized. It was a huge disappointment but luckily Dr. Schnell was willing to let me go through this Duramed study. I got the study drug and they did not do ICSI-which they did with my son-and the embryologist told me my eggs basically disintergrated and I had nothing left. I have seen great success on this forum with the Duramed study and I am ready to get started!

I have a question about the Embryo Glue. I wonder if you can use it on a fresh IVF or will Dr. Schnell only use it on FET? I am willing to pay the $325 to be able to use it if it will get me another baby!

Thanks and Good Luck to all of you!
