Hi Kris, Marcia and Pris,

Thank you all for the answers... I'm going to cancell the HSG and wait to next week to see what they will say at CORM. I have all exams with me, then maybe they can use those ones.

The blood tests I'm going to do, then I'll have it done to next week. thank you!

How was your appointments?

Sorry, I have been so late to answer. I have been out all day. You shouldn't have to do the HSG again as long as you have a report from less that 1 year ago. I didn't have to do another one. The only thing I'm not sure about is the fact that the HSG was done in another country, but I don't think that will matter. As for your day 3 labs, these will have to be done at CORM, because they send the blood for all patients to the same laboratory because of the study. For the SA, it doesnt really matter where you get that done, but it would probably be easier to just do everything at CORM. CORM will also do chlamydia, gonhorrhea cultures, HIV/Hepatitis testing, urine analysis, etc. The study pays for everything that they test on you. You will have to pay a little for tests done for your husband (HIV/Hepatitis panel), and SA.
If you have to redo the HSG, please do not worry. They give you good drugs to counteract any pain. Also when a good RE does it, it doesn't hurt too bad at all. Good luck. I hope this helps!

LUA~
I agree with just waiting until your appt at CORM. My HSG was last year in June and they just had me bring the paper stating that my tubes were clear. We had 2 different semen analysis' from last year in June and one about a week before my appointment, so they didn't have us even do that at all. The only testing we did was b/w and u/s and then of course the transvaginal ultrasound, and they even did a free breast exam which was nice because breast cancer runs in my family. Good luck to everyone, wherever you are in this crazy IVF process!

Kristin~How are you feeling about starting the stims? How has the lupron been for you? I am really nervous to start the injections in a little over a week!

Hey Lua -

Not many of us are far along in our treatments yet so we probably aren't ignoring your question . I'm getting ready to start my stims tomorrow though so I'm very excited about that. The Lupron hasn't been too bad except for a horrible Migraine I got on Sunday. That could have been a combination of AF, Lupron and Allergies though and not necessarily Lupron induced. Today I feel GREAT and I'm so ready to start stimming!!!

Oh and even though I'm on a different trial, it looks like the protocol's are almost identical except I'll have a different STIM drug than you all. I know that I will be getting the Crinone 8% instead of PIO shots for sure, so you can consider me on that side of the study .

Mandi - How did your appointment go today???

Marcia - Good luck with your Lupron shots tomorrow!!!! Woohoo!!

No news or updates...I just wanted to post to say I'm getting a bit anxious and tired of waiting. It sounds funny since a couple months ago IVF wasn't even on my mind again.

I'm scheduled to go to the orientation class Sat March 22 at 9:00am.

Girl I hear you about your period I've got all the symptoms it's coming. I think definitely by tomorrow. Wouldn't it be funny if we both end up there at the same time for our day 2 test

Well I had my SHG today and all was beautiful she said, I also had a pap test which we will get the results of in a week or two. She told me the next step is to wait for Day 1 of my period and call when I get it so I can come pick up my bcp!! Even though I just finished my cycle I am ready for another to start so I can start my pills and then on to the more exciting portions of the IVF cycle! I am trying so hard to be optimistic, I just feel God has something so cool planned for DH and I, I can't wait to see it unfold. I feel like i will be in a couple months .

Good luck to all!

Kristen,
Well here is my update from my first appointment today. My DH was with me so he did his SA. I did my cervical and breast exam, urine test, 3day bloodwork, and ultrasound. They accepted my record from my HSG and my husbands bloodwork from previous testing that we had done. Maryanne said everything looked ok so far and I have to wait for my period to start BCP's and then call to get our mock transfer completed and sign CORM consent forms. Maryanne was so nice and made me feel really comfortable. She also made me laugh which has been rare lately because of the stress of infertility.
This all just seems so good to be true but I guess it is really going to happen. We just haven't been able to afford IVF and all of the doctors told us that was the treatment we REALLY needed and that IUI was most likely not going to work. So after 6 and 1/2 years of TTC we are finally able to do IVF.....It is very emotional and I am very thankful for this opportunity .
Mandi
