ok I have allot of catching up to do. I will read and respond to everyone as soon as I can. I know that my SIL Kari has been keeping you guys posted for me since I haven't had access to the internet. I had my ER on Monday and got a call from John the Embryologist but missed the call and so he left me his number. I thought something was wrong when he left his cell on voice mail. I called back right away and he told me that he didn't think very many of my eggs were mature and wanted to do icsi. But icsi was the plan from the get go so he said that he just wanted to make sure before he did anything. Good thing cause I'm not sure that they would have fertilized on their own. Yesterday John called and said that out of my 19 eggs they icsi'd 16. This morning John called back and said that 15 fertilized out of the 16. He also said and I'm at work and I work on the 20th floor in downtown Houston so my phone was cutting in and out but I got 15 divided 7-4 cell and 8-2 cell. I'm not 100% sure what that means. He said that was good and right on target to where they should be. So I am scheduled for Saturday for my ET and tomorrow when John calls me he will let me know what time. Hopefully none of that 5:15 business. LOL Thank you for all the incouragement and prays. This is my first for everything and was very scared thoughout. Not knowing what to expect. But through all the prayers and family and friends I have almost survived. I thought the stim shots were absolutely going to kill me.LOL But I got through that stage. Hopefully I will see myself on that list with a BFP. Thank you everyone for standing by my side. It means so much... Muah Muah.

I'm finally up and moving around. I told them that I would get sick and they said well it's really light sedation, but we have some crackers when you wake up. Well, I woke up and felt okay....but once I got in the car I was soooo sick. I got sick 4-5 times on the way home (it's a 2 hour drive) and it was bad since I had to throw up 3 times in the car.....after hubby had stopped to get his lunch in a drive thru. Good thing he has a strong stomach. Ugghh, that was awful.....but then when they told me how many eggs I got I was kind of sick too.
Out of the 14 follies they measured the other day, I only got 7 eggs. She said it was lucky #7....I pray it is. I'm just so used to hearing stories of 13 and 20 that 7 seems awfully low. Especially when they keep telling you that they lose 40% of them after fertilization/growth. I'm guessing I'll go in for a 3 day since I didn't have a ton of eggs, so that puts it on Saturday for me. I have to drive back in tomorrow to get my progesterone....so hubby is taking care of me today so I'll be up for the drive. Well, that's my update...pray for lots of fertilized ones. I'll do personals tomorrow....thanks for all the support ![]()

Cheli - I can sooo relate..I can't focus on work, I'm just so anxious and excited about stimming and moving forward w/my cycle! Good luck at your appt tomorrow and please let us know how it goes!
Maribeth - I'm sorry you have sit out another month, I know how hard waiting is! Sounds like you are taking the news pretty well, hopefully the month will go by quickly for you! Nikki - I'm so happy for you...on both counts!! Our DH's do have their share of things to deal with too, I tell my DH how much I appreciate him every day! Kari - It went pretty good(see below), I'm happy anyway, lol. What is a cervical dilation? I've not heard of anyone having that done yet. I'm glad you don't have to wait for your Dr to get back from vacation! Babywishes - Congrats on the great fert report!! Just two days (well a day and 1/2) until your transfer, how exciting! Courtney - It is good to see you on the board again! Congrats on the great fert report! ET on Saturday is just a couple days away! Mandi - Congrats on your 2nd beta, rise #'s, rise!! Faith - I'm so glad you posted. That is horrible that you got sick on the drive home, you poor thing! I'm praying w/you that those are the lucky 7! Please update us w/the fert report when you get it. Thinking of you! I had my appt this morning and my left ovary is an overacheiver apparently, I have a 10, 9.5 and 8 already over there. My follicles on my right ovary are around 5/6ish. The nurse is supposed to call me w/my E2...still haven't heard from her and I'm on pins and needles. She said if it was too high they would reduce my meds and they will base my next appt on my E2 level as well. My lining was at 6.1 today, it was a 4.2 last Thursday so I don't know if that's good or not. I will post again when I have my E2.

Courtney: Great fertilization report!! Congrats!
Faith: Sorry you got so sick, that is no fun. I hope your lucky 7 eggs will do great! Let us know when you hear the fertilization report. If you look at all the boards, there are a lot of people who have ended up with BFP's with only 3-4 eggs, so remember, it only takes one good one. Melissa: Good luck with your E2, keep us posted!

Ok guys... I was just looking at my calendar and I only have a little over a week before my retrieval.
I am soooo nervous. I don't like surgeries and being put under for them. It makes me extremely nervous to be put under and I need some reassurance. What was everyone else's experience with the day of retrieval?

Indieblue, 7 is a great number! As you can see from signature, the most mature I have ever had is 5 and on IVF#2 I made it to a 5 day transfer! They were beautiful blasts on day 5. So keep you head up high and your embabies will grow, grow, grow!
Melis74, yeah, for your follicles! Can't wait to hear how your E2 reading is today! Nicoleg68, the retrieval is not bad at all. As a person who is scared to death of any doctor or procedure I have gone through two and they really are not too bad. I say that just now in hopes that my third go round will also be a positive experience The valium you take on your way to the ER really helps you relax. It is good stuff! Then after they call you back they will be doing all your vitals and stuff and having a normal conversation and the next thing you know you will be awake and ready to go home! Piece of cake As for me I am doing well, just REALLY tired! My stomach seems to be a bloated but I only feel pain from time to time. Those follicles better be growing beautifully this time. I am excited about my appointment on Friday morning. I want to check on these little guys ![]()

Nicoleg- The day of ER is easy, it's really the day after that you are the most sore. After my ER I just went home and slept alot. LOL Yours is getting close!!
Faith- 7 isn't bad girl!!! They are going to do great and you are going to end up with some great embies!!! Courtney- Great to see you back. XOXOXO Melissa- Sounds like you are rocking & rolling in there!! You are doing so good already!! Mandi- That is a GREAT #! Congrats on being !!!Babywishes-WOW! I'm impressed! That is an awesome fert report! That's wonderful news! Shannon- Any word on your babies? Yea....so about that cervical dilation... I have a VERY small cervical opening and it makes exams and procedures painful and difficult. When I went in for my full body exam and all the STD screenings and PAP she said she had a hard time getting the swabs in and had to use the smallest little shoehorn she could find. When they did my hysterosonogram the nurse couldn't get the cathedar in and they had to wait and Dr. Schnell to do it. So this time she said she doesn't want any problems with it and when I am on my Lupron she wants to go in and give me some Valium and go in there and I guess crank it open for easier access. My friend has had this done and she said it hurt so bad she came up off the table so I am not looking forward to this procedure. But if it will help the dr's get in and out easier for ER & ET then I'm all for it.
