And then there were ten...

Ok, so not the greatest of news, but not horrible either today. Out of the 18 that were ICSId only 10 fertilized...but I'm still doing better than the last time! LOL. John, the embryologist, came in and talked to me while I was waiting for my randomization and he said that he was happy with the results so far compared to last time. He expects us to probably lose a couple more over the next day or so, but I should have a couple of blasts by Saturday which is better than where I was in March. So I'm excited!

Oh and I got the gel for the trial. I was wanting the ring, but I started thinking about it and decided that either one was good since we've been getting BFPs from both!

Nicole - Hope your ER went well today!!!

Stacey (TX) - Maybe that is a good sign!!!

Kari - I know how you feel honey about the differences between the Duramed Study and the Serono Study. John said that on the Serono study some were getting great results and others weren't but that the Duramed study was doing really well. Hope that helps you some! Don't use me as an example!! LOL!

Shannon - I'm so sorry . I could have sworn your beta was sooner. Keep your chin up honey!

Faith - Don't lose hope! Bloody CM could just be implantation spotting, but I know it's hard to stay positive. Don't give up hope!

Megan - Glad to see you've got a plan!! I hope AF shows up soon!!!

Well I'm back from the retrieval an everything went good except they only retrieved 5 eggs. I'm extremely dissapointed in that especially since just the other day I had 10 or 11 that were ready. has anyone else gotten a BFP off so little eggs.

I know exactly how you feel with the low number of eggs. I have been through this three times now and the most mature eggs I have ever had is 5. Unfortunately endo can cause us to not have as many eggs as others in our same age range. A LOT CAN HAPPEN with 5 eggs though! Keep your head up and think positive thoughts! It will all work out, we just have to trust I will be keeping my fingers crossed for a great fertilization report in the morning!

Back from ET

Well ladies, I am back from ET. All went smoothly. In the end we put back three great blasts. My RE said he was okay with 3 because of my age and past failed IVF cycle. They froze 5 today and are watching another 5 blasts to freeze tomorrow. If they look good they will definitely freeze them.

We are very excited to have completed this stage with far better results than last time. It is amazing how much better these 3 blasts look compared to the 3 that were put back on our first IVF cycle. God is Good!!

Good luck to my fellow ET buddy Molly and good luck to Nicole on her ER. Kristen, I pray that your talented 10 continue to grow and divide!

Nicole, hang in there. When I didn't have that great of a turnout last time, I was told many, many positive stories of small number of eggs and great development of those eggs. I'm a firm believe in just keeping the faith and staying positive!!! It's HARD I KNOW!!! But you have potentially 5 beautiful embabies waiting to get back home to momma!!

Kristen - your report sounds great! Good luck with the fertilization.

Megan - I'm glad you are ready for your FET! I hope AF comes soon so you can get this show on the road!

I haven't posted much lately. I'm sure you ladies don't want to hear how horrible I feel. I'm super thrilled to be pregnant, but I will be excited when I start feeling better. The nausea meds help, but not 100%. Plus I feel super tired like someone just ran over me with a big truck! Yay for being pregnant!

Good luck to everyone!!

Hollie - I'm so sorry you are having such bad morning sickness. That worries me too because I've pretty much used up all my sick leave for all the IVF procedures and if I get any morning sickness I'm going to be screwed!!! I'm glad you still post with us though, I like hearing about the successful trial girls!!

Hey Stacey (TX)! I just changed out my ring last night and I noticed the same thing you did (I think)! Yes, things felt "fuller" and "softer" and it seemed like the ring was right there. I was afraid I was going to be going fishing for it, but no...maybe that's what the progesterone does to the environment down there to make a better house for the baby? Anywho, just thought I would let you know you're not alone. I don't know about you, but this wait is killing me!!! I'm so ready for the Beta to get here Monday! I think I might HPT test Sunday. Are you going to HPT at all? I'm headed back to work today, so that should help to get my mind off of things - yeah right!

Has anyone noticed a higher body temp while on the ring? I've been running a low-grade fever now for quite some time. I have had a head cold too, but I just wondered if you all had noticed anything like that?

The Fantastic Ten are now the...

FANTASTIC TEN!!! I'm still in shock that they are all still going. You guys have just no idea compared to last time, I was waiting for them to call and say...well, only 3 are dividing and they are all three cell and severely fragmented or something...

So the report this morning is that we have (7) 4-cell, Grade A, and (3) 2- cell, Grade A. I'm praying those lilttle two cells catch up to the four cells and that all 10 are beautiful 8-cells tomorrow.

Thanks so much for everyone's support this cycle, after the last one (as many of you know) it is hard to keep positive, but I think that is what we are all trying to do for each other is keep that POSITIVE energy going!!!

Morning -

Great news Kristen on your fert report!

I had my ET yesterday and it went well. They transferred 2 embies yesterday (Day 3) - one was a nice 6 cell and the other was a 5 cell. The fragmentation looked good on both, so I'm feeling cautiously optimistic.

These embies are a better quality then I had with IVF#1.

I do have one leftover embie, but it's a 4 cell that hasn't been doing as well. I think they are going to call me to let me know if it has improved and is worth freezing.

Glad to hear everyone is doing so well!

- Molly

2nd U/S

I had my 2nd ultrasound yesterday and the baby looked great! The heart rate was 175 and the baby measured 8 weeks. I was so neat because we got to see the baby moving around.

Heather - Congratulations on getting to see your little bean!! Sounds like he/she's growing great!!!

Molly - Congratulations on being PUPO X 2!!! Now the tough part begins...waiting for the 2WW to be over!!!

Nicole - Any news from John on your fertilization yet? I'm praying it's ALL good news honey!!

Megan - If you are still around, PM me your cell number again...I might need you Saturday for my ET. DH has to work (he just started a new job yesterday) so we're trying to find a backup plan for someone to take me and to bring me home from ET .
