I'm glad to hear everybody is doing ok.
Kristen - Good luck at your u/s. We are all waiting to hear the good news! When you get a chance, can you change my bean count to one? Megan - I'm glad you are having a good trip! Enjoy your family. I had my prenatal interview at my regular OB's office yesterday. I didn't really learn anything new, but they asked a million questions about me, my family history, hubbies family history, meds I've taken. I have to pre-register with the hospital, anethesiologist, pediatrician, WHEW! So much to do! Then they talk about money, and we have to pay a little every time. It's a lot to take in. I'm seeing the OB on Monday. I'm interested to see what her plan is for me.

I believe at CORM that ICSI is included in the Duramed Study.

icsi in study
Hello,
icsi was included in the study for us (we paid $4100 for the study). And, I just got a bill for $1200 since they did a 5 day transfer vs. a 3 day. I can't imagine what my clinic would have charged us if we weren't in the study. Plus.....they have also been billing our insurance company. It really seems like double or tripple billing!! Is it the same for others? Suz |

Hmmm....maybe because my hubby has a vasectomy and they also have to do TESE with ICSI. Dr. Barnes (Urologist) is going to cost $1,000 to aspirate and CORM is charging us $1,500 to use the facility, so maybe that is it....

Hey Nikki.. I am in the Austin, Tx study and I am going to have ICSI, but it is not included and they told me to expect tp pay another $1800. Could be less depending on how many embies that ICSI. I am scrounging up to extra funds.. Its not fun, but I will get there

Great news Kari! Good luck on Sunday! I'll be praying for you!
Kristen, can't wait to hear your bean count! Just got back from my appt. at RE. Had a quick u/s and checked out my ovaries. NO cysts! Then we had injection training. Man, I felt like the biggest moron. I had a hard time getting the one where you had to mix. My hand was shaking and the syringe was not cooperating. Anyway, got through that and then went over to discuss billing. Turns out we might have to do ICSI as well, due to low morphology (Another $1100-1800). Just another bump in the road, but my husband would NOT let me feel sorry for myself or for us. He said not to worry. Then we got home to take the first Lupron shot. I was terrified. We did the 1-2-3 thing and I froze. I wanted my DH to do it, but he's going out of town this weekend, so he wanted to make sure I could do it. I FINALLY did and it was easy. No worries from here on out.

Can you say...amazing...
So hi girls!! Just got home from my U/S and I'm still in amazement. You guys aren't going to believe this...but we are having IDENTICAL TWINS!!!!! YEP!!! One of the embryo's split and we had one gestational sac and two heartbeats (they are separated too which is great news). Both were measuring about 6w1d and heartbeats were 107 and 111. I started crying during the exam I was in such shock!!! I mean...I've been prepared for one baby this entire time and when the doctor said that there was a second one I was like...WHAT!?!?!?! They were shocked too since my hcg numbers did not sound like twin numbers at all.
So there's my exciting news!! I'm off to tell the world!!! I can't contain my excitement right now!!!
