Hey there Nikki~
I am from Utah and got accepted to the study at CORM in Webster. I have made 2 trips so far down to Houston.

The first one was just for alot of paperwork, a physical, them getting all of my paperwork for all of the testing we have done, and to officially qualify me for the study.

The second one was when I started my period. They did the mock transfer, bloodwork for both me and DH, injection training, and consent forms.

I was going to have to come back down to begin the Lupron last week, but Maryanne was able to have the pharmacy just ship it directly to me. So it has saved me an extra trip.

The next visit, I will be flying down on April 3rd, and will start the stims on April 4th. I will be staying down there for almost a full 3 weeks. My DH was only able to get 2 of the 3 weeks off so he will coming down the following Thursday. My estimated ER is on April 15th and estimated ET is on April 20th. I hope this helps out!



I just wanted to also add that my anniversary is on April 29th!! Crazy!! What a great day for alot of us.

I will be traveling to Houston on about day 4 of stims and staying there until 3 days after ET. I live 9 hours away from Houston though. I thought San Antone to Houston only took about 2.5 hours without traffic.

hi nikki. i live 2 1/2 hours away from the corm in webster and so far i have been up there 5 times. on my visit last week i finally rec'd my bcp's. we have to go again on saturday. i would assume if you have current tests results you wouldn't have to go as much. according to my calendar i prolly have 5 or more visits to go.

Hi Nikki! I hope you can get into one of the trials. I think it is so worth it if money is an issue. One of the things that I've learned after my clinical trial is that even if it doesn't work, I've learned a LOT about my body that will help with my next round of IVF and I didn't have to pay nearly as much to learn that information. It sounds like the one in Austin is closest to you, maybe you can get the phone number for the clinic and call them directly?? Good luck and let us know how everything goes!!

Hi Nikki, I have an appointment at the clinic in Austin that is doing the trial, the clinic name is Texas Fertility Center. You may want to email or call them directly, they were pretty quick to call me back after I emailed them. They have a website, it's Fertility Center Austin Texas, Fertility Services, Infertility Treatment . They have a very high success rate, and I think they're very well respected around Austin. Jennifer you definitely need to take prenatal vitamins while trying to concieve. i also take vitamin C, fish oil, and glucosamine chondroitin for joints.

Any RE you go to will normally prescribe a prenatal vitamin to take before your cycle begins. I have been taking mine since Oct 2007. If you can't get a prescription prenatal, take a good multivitamin that has folic acid. The prenatal is not extra - it is essential.
