We will be going to see a perinatologist sometime soon for a level II u/s and genetic counseling. Hopefully the u/s will show nothing wrong. Then if something looks questionable, we may do the amnio. We had our anatomy u/s at the OB today, and everything looked good there, but she couldn't see the spine base very well, so we'll have to wait for that.

I have to wait until Tuesday to have my 2nd check!

They said my numbers were so high at 1159 at day 14 that I have to wait until Tuesday to have my 2nd check!

I am just so anxious!


I thought after the first call, the wait would be easy - I WAS WRONG!

I am so sorry that it did not work out.

Dr. Sims did my transfer. Dr. Schnell was in there but did not say anything to him. Last time Dr. Schnell had all kinds of issues getting the catheter in and even had to send my embabies back to the incubator. This time Dr. Sims was in and out - everything was just perfect!!! My transfer was on 08/14 so I was probably the trial!

I was a little anxious, but it has seemed to work out.

Dr. Schnell has invested so much time and effort in her great practice, I am sure that she would not have let Dr. Sims do it unless she was confident in his ability.

I am so very sorry! I was cheering you on!

Hi everyone -

Well it looks like I'm on bedrest for a little while. Had my first appointment with new MFM on Friday and five minutes into exam she says, "You're cervix doesn't feel right, I shouldn't be able to put my finger in there and you are dilated"...she then tells the nurse to clear out the ultrasound room and to be ready to set up an emergency cerclage. I'm laying there, like....HUH?!!? So off I go to get an ultrasound and my cervix was short at 2.6 cm (should be 4 cm)...so diagnosis...incompetent cervix.

Problem...Dr is leaving to catch a plane out of town and won't be back till Monday, which is a holiday...and a hurricane is heading this way, so now surgeries on Tuesday so the earliest they could get me in is on Wednesday morning. Ok, no problem I'm thinking...if she was really worried, she would just have someone else do the surgery, right??

So I go all over kingdom come getting bloodwork and paperwork done for the surgery on Wed and by the time I get home I'm cramping and hurting pretty bad, so I lay down...well, last night went to the bathroom and wiped and had BRIGHT red blood...scared the crap out of me because I haven't bled this entire pregnancy. So it's like 11 pm and DH tells me to call the Dr (who is now safely out of town) and the on-call doctor says to come into the hospital. They check me out, but I wasn't bleeding anymore and send me home with "threatened miscarriage" and put me on bedrest till surgery on Wed. The ER doc didn't sound like he wanted to do a cerclage if I was already in the process of a miscarriage, but he also didn't bother to do an ultrasound either...

So I'm back home, still cramping, no bleeding...but wondering if I should call my RE and tell her what's going on and get a second opinion or just wait it out. I'm so worried tho...what would you do and has anybody had an incompetent cervix with symptoms like this so early?? I will be 13 weeks on Monday....

Hopefully Dr. Schnell will get back to you. I don't think you should have to wait until Wednesday. I'm sorry about this scare, and I hope everything will be ok.

They had be skip #2 because the first was so high, but still-----.

Okay they said that everything will be fine because the first number was so high, but I am still anxious.

I also have to have a 1 hour glucose test, because my Glumetza is tearing up my stomach!

I did talk to Dr Schnell on Saturday and she told me to stay off my feet and wait till Wed. I was to call back if I got any more bleeding or the cramping worsened, which thankfully it hasn't. So tomorrow morning is the big day and I pray it all goes well. I have had some cramping but hopefully they are just the normal growing pains and nothing serious. I will say I'm scared of the procedure tomorrow!!

Megan - You don't need to worry, but easier said then done! Keep us updated!!

Lua - Good to hear from you hon, how are you doing?!?! Will you be doing a FET soon??
