Welcome Indieblue!!
Marcia - Melanee is busy, but I'll update everyone! LOL! She did her trigger last night and is having her ER EARLY Monday morning. She has lots of good size follies, 15 on her left side, about the same on her right side, so I've got egg envy right now .Hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm still recovering from the Crawfish boil...it was so much fun! Janice and Melanee got to meet (although they were both at CORM yesterday morning and didn't know it at the time). I'll be having my appt with Dr. Schnell tomorrow morning so I'll hopefully get some answers about last cycle. Marcia - How are you feeling?? Have you POAS yet?? Your beta is so soon!!!

I have a question for you girls. I am alittle worried about the HSG, not so much the pain (thanks for the support girls) but what it will say. I am so worried it will say that my lining is still too thin to support an embryo!!! What will they do if my lining is too thin? Will they just send me home and not include me in the study? Also, I haven't had AF for 2 years now...What will they do about that???? I have moved on to a new freak out girls!!! As the rest of you I want this so bad!!

Welcome indiegirl!!!
Congrats on your bfp Heather!!! That is so wonderful! Jenifer, I'm pretty sure I'll still be on the same schedule as you. My cyst went down this past week, so the doctor is pretty sure that it will continue to go down enough for me to start stims next Friday. It's getting so close!!! Oh, I'm tired on thed lupron too!!! foxracer, try not to worry! I'm sure that you will be accepted into the study! My lining has been less than 6 everytime they've done a u/s on me and I've had 4 done so far. Just wait until you get down there and they will work with you on everything. How are you Cari? Melanee, I hope your ER goes really well!!! I hope you get lots of healthy, mature, beautiful eggies!!! I'll be praying for you and your dh! I'll see you next weekend! Kristen, thanks for having me and my dh over! It was fun. You throw a good party. I'm glad we got the opportunity to just sit and talk. It was great! Hopefully we can all do lunch next weekend! I hope the doctor has some good news for you tomorrow. Let me know how it goes, sweetie. Talk to you later!

Hmm, the study doesn't say anything about excluding you for not having a period (unless it's because of menopause). And as far as the lining, they may give you something to help increase the lining....have you ever taken any of those meds? It might work for you. Good luck!!!
I have a question (since no one else is doing the study in GA). Do the other clinics also offer a compensation at the end of the study? I'm paying to participate in the study, then paying for meds...but I noticed that in my paperwork they will pay at the end of the study (within 2 weeks it says) a certain amount per visit to the participants at this clinic. My question is....is that July 2009? Or when we as individuals complete the study? Waiting till 2009 will seem like FOREVER!!! Then again, maybe some clinics are offering the whole clinical trial for free and then the study company is paying them at the end of it.....there are so many different clinics and so many different ways that it's being handled...it's all so confusing LOL

Your clinic is probably doing it that way to try to make as many people as possible to participate til the end of the study. I'm sure that they give you the compensation when you as an individual are finished with your part of the study.
At CORM, they do not charge us for anything except $500 for admin fees and we have to pay for about $100 of drugs out of pocket if insurance won't cover it. It you get blast to freeze, then you pay another $600 for cryopreservation and storage.

IndieBlue-It depends on the clinic. I know with the research that I have done, some clinics require you to pay in full for the procedures and they reimburse you at the end, usually after your Beta. I know that a few clinics I have had contact with will pay for pretty much everything up front expect the meds and some pay for almost all of meds also...Just depends on the clinic.
Good luck!!!

Thank you girls
While it's a 'cheaper' cycle for us...and allowed us to start a year earlier, it's still not free It's about 1/2 off when adding in the meds cost, travel, psychologist visit and my husbands testing that the study doesn't cover and neither did our insurance....but still...1/2 is GREAT when it's so expensive to begin with.I really hope they reimburse us after our Beta, or that last visit when we're turned over to our OB (or if we have a BFN...when we end the study). It would be hard waiting till July 2009....but the way they have it worded it sounds like Dura...is paying this, so I thought maybe they were waiting till then.

I got in to the prog. ring study in Schaumburg, IL!!!! I have an appointment there on the 24th. I am so excited!
That will save me so much money driving back and forth to Texas as much as I would love to meet you girls in Houston!!!!They will not pay for the stim meds or the anesthesia but I think that will be minimal considering how much I would pay to travel. I am soooooooo excited!!! Lets get some updates on the rest of the girls...Didn't we have a beta test today????

Yeah Karen!!! That's great!!! I know that has to be a relief for you!!!
Lil Updates...Melanee had her egg retrieval this morning and she had 20 beautiful eggs retrieved!! She won't get her fertilization report until tomorrow so she's at home relaxing today! I had my follow up this morning with my RE and she is ready to get me going on this Duramed study. Her plan this go round is to "blast me" with stims so they can get more eggs! So I'm going to be on a LOT of stim medication compared to you guys! I'll be on Gonal-F 225 in the morning AND Gonal-F225 Plus Menopur in the evening!!! They are also adding Heparin to my protocol since I've got an auto-immune disorder...that's a LOT of shots a day!!! Marcia - You are next with the Beta, right?? Is it tomorrow?? Are you going to POAS?? How's everyone else doing? We are really getting going now!! to all of you!!!Kristen
