I am going to contact the coordinators that were listed again and see if they can forward my info to other clinics. Does anybody know what is going on I even used the Clinincaltrials.gov study number? Is it just different compensation at different clinics? Is anyone else not using the Houston office and only paying $1100? If you have any info or advice please let me know. I am disappointed to say the least.

Mia - I'm not positive, but yes I do believe it is different in every location based on what they are willing to cover. I saw on another site that was offering the same trial that it was $5000 and it looks like it's cheaper in other locations. I wish I had good advice for you as to what to do. Janice can tell you more about the exact trial in Houston, but she had a LOT of stuff done here on her first visit and didn't have to pay anything (except for the $1100 that she'll need to pay later). I would call around to check though. Good luck and keep us posted!

I am using the Dallas Center for Assisted Rep. ... I have been there once on Wed. and now I am waiting for AF so I can do testing. If all goes well we should get to start injections by the end of March I am so excited and I wanted to let you know that this clinic has a great reputation around here! It is a husband a wife team and they all seem really nice.... Good Luck to you!

Marcia - That's great! Have they mentioned how much it is there? I've heard of them (I can't remember their name) but I remember seeing a husband and wife team in Dallas on another post and that they had a good reputation as well! I need to update our list so we can all keep track!

frymamma2b- I talked to Maryann today and she said you don't have to pay the $600 to keep the leftover embryos, so it could just cost you $500 for the fee. I can't believe that all the meds and ICSI is covered!

Kristen -- it is $1200 here in Dallas

I am going to start a post about the sucess rates of the progesterone gel since it is a 50% chance we will have that (if your interested in the replies). In my consent forms it says that we cannot tell our nurse which type of the progesterone we get but at least maybe we will be able to compare with each other. I would love to keep updated of everyones journey through this study.

I'm getting frustrated...I called three days this week and entered my info on their website to have them contact me but still haven't been called back. It seems like most of you have been called back the same day or a day later. Maybe they just don't want to talk to me.

Rhart- It took a week for them to get back to me. I am still waiting on them to call back to schedule the 1st appointment. I called a couple times and sent two messages. I was getting a little anxious waiting, but was glad they called today. I hope you get your call soon.

Marcia, the consent forms say the same thing at the Houston office. You'll have to let us know how things go!

Kristen, I finally started and I'm coming back to Houston this weekendfor 3 day labs...I will only be there Saturday thru noon Monday. i have an appt on Sunday for bw @ 9 AM. Even though I started, Maryanne thinks that since my cycle was so weird this month after the bcps, that I should wait until my next AF to start the IVF. She thinks this will give me a better opportunity for pregnancy with the cycle so I guess my ER and ET won't be until early May...by the way the Dallas docs are the Doody's.

Lorry, I don't think they care if your dh smokes, but they'll probably suggest he doesn't. They do care if you have smoked in the past 3 months. I'm glad you're going to be able to do this.

Hope everyone gets a bfp this cycle!

So I got another call, this time from the Cincinnatti clinic doing this trial. Well their compensation/discount is much better but still not as good as Houston. I will pay $2500 fee to join the study and then I would pay for some meds and some tests as well as $450 cryopreservation fee and $100 a quarter storage fee. So I am thinking I would be looking at around $4000 which is much better than the other office or paying straight out of pocket. And the study coordinator at this office was so impressed that I found them she really wanted me to join. So I talked to her Saturday and she wants me to call her today and let her know if I want to schedule the initial appointment. Oh and I have to be off of stims and Metformin for a Month so it probably wont be until April. Well that is an update but I am also going to try to contact the Michigan offices to see what they are offerring. Good luck ladies, and if you are doing this at an office other than Houston could you let me know the fees please?

Well, I still haven't heard anything. I'm waiting, but beginning to think that they aren't going to call me back. I called the numbers on the website for the clinical trials. I also filled out the interest segment on the website.
