I'm already participating in one of their IVF trials there now and haven't had to pay anything except about $18 for antibiotics!!! All my meds, BW, u/s, ER and ET and one FET are covered by the trial I am in!

Their website is: The Center for Reproductive Medicine be sure to check their information under clinical trials. She said they are interviewing potential applicants who meet the following criteria:

Between the ages of 18 and 35
Less than two previous IVF attempts
BMI less than 38%

I hope some of you can benefit from this!!! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

SOOO Happy for all the good news on this thread! It is so encouraging!

I am once again just hanging out until AF rears her head and then I will hopefully be able to start BCP for a couple weeks and get the show on the road. I sure hope they had enough cells this time to get my Pap result back

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey ya'll, I just wanted to let some of you who are pricing around know what it is in Dallas and about the office. We had our 1st visit which was to supposed to just be a consult, but ended up being a 3 hr get as much done as we could appt. I filled out all of the new patient paperwork and had whatever records faxed before our appt. Their offices are beautiful and very spacious. They have a very organized process that we went through and we received far more info than our previous RE (Even my DH was impressed).

As for the cost, it is $1200 admin fee, cost of meds...$3000?, plus $600 to freeze if you want to. The clinic is actually in Bedford which is right next to DFW airport. I live less than 30 miles from it and would of course open my guest room to any of ya'll if it would make it a possibility for you.

Please let me know if you have any other questions I didn't answer.

Heart New to this board!

Hello!

I just discovered the board this morning. I am currently on page 22 of 55 (I think).

I am in the Dura-Med study at CORM also!

I had my baseline US and E2 test on Saturday (appt at 7:00, but didn't finsh until 10:05).

I have finished all of the tests, BCPs, and the .10 of the Lupron.

I am on my 1st day of stims.

I am taking .05 of Lupron and 225 of Gonal-F in the morning. Tonight I will be taking 150 of Gonal-F and 75 of the Menopur.

I have B/W on Thursday with possible ER on May 1 and possible ET on May 6.

I am teacher, so we had to make things work, so that this awesome adventure did not cause interference with the TAKS test next Tuesday.

I am so happy to have found all of you.

I just could not wait until I finished reading to respond and partially introduce myself.

I was the "example" patient, if anyone else was there!

No Pens for me!

It is going to be so awesome to have people in the same boat!

No - there are not any pens. I had heard about the dials....

MaryAnn indicated that because of the high dose (based on the Repronex attempts previously) that they give you the same kind the the whole thing.

When MaryAnn came out with my huge box - she said you even get a free purse to carry it in!

Zita, blvsolis, and martieroo!!!

Wow, this thread is getting a lot of people!

Jenifer, I guess I ust missed you on Friday! I looked, but I think you were already back when I got there.

Yay Melanee!!! You are PUPO!!! I hope that you and Chris get your bfp, sweetie! You will make great parents and have adorable children. I hope that I can catch you on your beta weekend. I should still be down there.

Kristen, Hi!, Thanks for helping me Friday night! I was freaking out a little. I couldn't find the smaller needle...I gave myself the first dose on Friday and the second on Saturday of 75 menopur and 300iu of follistim, but on Saturday, the syringe had about 3-4ccs more fluid in it than on Saturday. I think I did something wrong...I lost some meds somewhere. I told the nurse about it, but she didn't seem to think it mattered much. I'm wondering if maybe that was why my E2 was low today...oh well, it won't be low for much longer. I'm trying to stay positive and go with the flow, but I'm such a worrier by nature.
Oh BTW, I Houston has been having good weather everytime I come down. Maybe I'm bringing the drier air in from Lubbocok??? I'll be back on Wed evening for a while if you want to do something; maybe Thursday lunch. I'll pm or email. Hope you're having a great day!

Hi everyone!

Ok, here's my update - my cyst went down significantly by Friday, but so did my estrogen which was ok. My E2 on Friday was 27. So I started on 300iu of follistim and 75 on menopur on Friday night. I did this for 2 night and then had bw done this morning. Well my E2 only went up to 57. They wanted it to be at least 3 digits. Dr. Schnell upped my follistim starting today; so now I take 150ius in the am and 225 with the menpur in the pm. I won't have another check until Thursday am. I hope everything is ok...

Oh yeah Kristen, I totally forgot! Where are you staying? You are going to have so much fun!!! I hope you win lots and have a blast! Give me a call when you get back once you're rested.

Well at the rate I'm going so far, I'll probably stim the whole 10 days and will end up having the ER on my birthday...Did Melanee ever just mix the gonal f with the menopur powder and inject w/o adding the saline? One of the nurses suggested that to me today, so I didn't have to inject so much in. So at night I'm putting the 225iu into the menopur vial and adding about .1 cc of saline to the same vial and then drawing up and injecting it. It ends up being a lot less to inject. It burns a little more b/c it's not quite as dilute, but the ice helps with that.
