Megan, I had really sore boobs too right before the retreival. My t-shirt even hurt if it brushed against me.

I didn't do the enema. I tried to eat fibrous foods after noon hte day before and had the "poop paste" on hand to eat the day of the retreival:

Power Pudding (safe stool softner)
1 cup of bran, (if not ground, grind up for smoother paste)
1 cup of prune juice
1 cup of applesauce
It becomes a prunie paste. Refrigerate.
Take 1 tablespoon up to 3-4 x a day.
It is guaranteed to help you naturally with your constipation.

I also had some Dulcolax stool softener and took 2 yesterday and will continue to take at least once a day because the progesterone also can cause constipation. I pretty much ate what I wanted yesterday and it took about 24 hours for me to have a bowel movement. I had about 4 teaspoons of the pooppaste 4 times yesterday. I'm almost back to normal. It hurts a little when I go to the bathroom, but I think that any pushing at all makes the ovaries fell uncomfortable.

Cari, I had an ultrasound on day 7 of my stims and again on day 9. Dr. Schnell upped my stims after my 1st E2 level as well and my E2 went up quite a bit between day 3 and 7 and doubled again on day 9. When they do your bw on Thursday, the RE will change your dose accordingly. I will be back in Webster just down the street from you hopefully on Friday (my embabies have to make it to 5 day) night for a Saturday ET. Maybe we can go eat on Friday night?

Is your dh going to be here for your ER???

Yes, I took Dulcolax after my ER too! I needed it! You should also drink water plus the powerade. You need to pee too to get the water you are retaining out of you too! I was told to alternate the water with the gatorade

Hi Ladies- I hope you don't mind me jumping in. I've been searching for anyone currenly in the Duramed study. I received a call from my RE's office about the study and have to decide by the end of the week! I'm not sure what's involved exactly and have never been involved in a study before. I would love to "talk" to others who are in the study so I know what's upcoming and what to expect. From lurking on this thread it seems that the study is being conducted from many different states. I'm in NJ. I have so many questions such as how long after signing consents did the study actually start, do they start the medication after a BFP or before it, etc. I would appreciate any information you could give me.

Make sure it's the Dulcolax stool softener and NOT the laxative. That will cause cramping and will hurt bad. I am still bloated somewhat and wearing elastic yoga type pants. It hurts to wear jeans and I just want to be comfortable. My lower abdomen is not as hard as it was before ER but it's still taking up more room than usual. I've gained a lot of wait from all of this (some stress eating and some stims and bloating) and want to start eating much healthier. I'm pretty uncomfortable if I eat more than I should. I think my ovaries are still taking up more room than usual.

Janice- I will pray for your embabies tonight. I am game for dinner on Friday night. I am not staying at the Days Inn as planned. I am actually staying at a Howard Johnson 8 miles from the clinic. It was alot cheaper and had a pool. DH will be here on Sunday afternoon so he will be here for ER on 5/6 and then he is flying home 5/7. He will be back on 5/9 for ET on 5/11 and then we will drive home together. I will send you a message with my #.

I think this is a great study to be in. The RE can regulate your dosage of stims up and down as needed for you individually. This is actually one of the better studies since they can control that. You start the trial drug (progesterone ring) the day after ER. It's just progesterone like you would normally have after a retreival, but instead of PIO or suppositories or Crinone half the patients get a progesterone ring. As fro when you start the study, as soon as your accepted, you start filling in a study diary where you track any meds you take and any health repated events like headaches and cramps. Once your initial testing and stuff is completed, your RE will decide when you start bcps. If you read from the beginning of this thread, there is a lot of information, especially in the first 20 pages. Good luck!

Thanks Kari for the prayers. I'll take all that I can get. I'm glad your dh will be here when you need him. I know that I needed mine on the day of ER for lots of stuff. Depending on how your E2 levels are, you could have ER a day early. I know that Kristen, Melanee and myself all had ER on Mondays instead of Tueday. Just a heads up. It will all depend on your E2 level on Saturday. I will call you on Friday. I'll pm you my number too! Maybe Kristen will be able to come as well.
