My clinic said that although the study doesn't allow assisted hatching, they do pay for ICSI. They said that in essence ICSI is going to help with hatching too...since you're breaking that outer crust to insert the semen. While I know that AH probably has a bit more of the crust/shell opened up, I do think that ICSI is probably pretty close to that and we shouldn't worry too much about AH

I don't know what my FSH was, they just said it was within normal range, as was my estradiol? Everytime they've done an ultrasound they've checked my follicles and midcycle ultrasound there were usually 5-6 on each side. I also have an 18mm cyst that doesn't seem to change no matter what time they've done the ultrasound in the month?

IndieBlue, it is great to know that someone else from the same clinic is on this chat thread. I have my appt tomorrow with Shelia to get my pills and to have another 3 day FSH blood test. Then we go next week for our shot class. Looking forward to hearing about your progress!

Why the second FSH? It was a LONG LONG road to the BCP's for me LOL We had to complete the shot classes prior to being accepted, and also our psychological consult (which just got done on Tuesday...LOL, we were cutting it a bit close). I'm so glad to be on BCP's now though, such a small step but it's a step in the right direction FINALLY! We called them in February, so 3 months was a long time to wait to complete everything. So are you with Dr. Perloe? I'm with Dr. Kaplan...she's nice as is her team. Did you get your meds ordered yet? Do you mind sharing how much they were? During the shot class it sounded as if everyone in the study was on the same protocol? Lupron, Menopur, GonalF, Doxy and then the trigger shot. Maybe since you've been through a cycle before they will change yours up though? They are supposed to call me today with my order information....since my insurance will probabaly only cover the Doxy/Antibiotics I'm thinking the worst LOL Aasta (the first coordinator I spoke to in Feb) said that the meds were between 2000-2500 but then Dr. Kaplans nurse said closer to 3000.00 Again...I'm assuming the worst LOL

Ladies....another study participant I met on another IVF board (Ivf-Infertility.com) ran out of Luveris last night because the doctor upped her dose. She is on day 7 of stims and her RE's office has told her that they don't have any extra's at the office, and the pharmacies she's phoned around Austin don't have it either.....anyone have any ideas? I told her to come post here...she may be here soon but I figured I'd start her plight/post

I had a quick question. Were any of you prescribed prenatal vitamins? I was told that I would have them prescribed for me, but nothing was in my meds package. Maybe I'm just supposed to take some on my own? But then with the study....I know you can't take a lot of things over the counter, so wanted to check here first before calling the coordinator.

Okay yesterday they took 30 - of the 30

17 were mature and ready - they were ICSI'd!

This morning 14 are doing great.

They said to plan for a 5 day transfer!

I will be the on Cinco de Mayo at 7:45.

I got the ring too!!!

I am still so sore!

I have to go ahead and go into work tomorrow, so I can get all of my things ready for my sub, for Mon-Wed.

IndieBlue - I got the coodinator to prescribe me some prenatals, I dont think the over the counter ones are very strong.

Hi Indieblue,

I asked them about it and Maryanne gave me a prescription of DuetDHA.
I'm not sure if the best one and they told me that we need to take 1000mg of Calcium daily and this vitamins just has 200mg, but anyway, I'm taking this one.

Thanks I'm taking a Repliva Iron Supplement throughout this....but I'd heard of Premara and Primacare1? I'll have to check out the other one you mentioned Lua...JNI, did you get that same brand?

5/1 Fert Report - 13 divided, 9 are 4-cell and 4 are 2-cell

Still planning on a 5 day transfer for Sunday...

I am also taking Duet DHA. I had it filled at WalMart.

My insurance does not cover much of it so it was going to be $45 a month.

I decided to pay the WalMart cash price and it was $82 for 2 months.

My friend had hers filled at the Kroger's on El Camino and was told there was a generic and it was only $10.

FYI - I am not taking a calcium cupplement. Maryann told me today to start taking one.

I am going to have to go back to Walmart. I had to go earlier to get Ensure and Protein Bars. They said I had to eat / drink these because of how many eggs I had.
