I was told it would be ok to take over the counter prenatal vitamins as long as they were name brand. Nothing with herbs in them...

Ok I have another report on my embabies: they called at 5:45am this morning and let me know that I would be doing a 5 day transfer. I currently have 3 8-cell embies and 1 6-cell embaby all grade A. I am hopeful that they will make it to Saturday.

I take Tandem OB prenatal, calcium with vitamin d, and fish oil every day. My prenatal was prescribed by my last RE and I got 12 refill so I keep filling them!

Indieblue, that sucks for your friend. I was never on Luveris so I'm not sure what to tell you/her. Also have you taken the lupron yet? My cyst went away with the lupron.

Sacshia, you can have more follies when you start your stims. Don't worry!

Well returned a little while ago from U/S. Saw 10 follicles and they are all pretty much where they need to be in size. Which means that I trigger tonight and will be going for ER earlier than scheduled. I guess that nothing is predictable in IF. I was sooooo ready for Monday. Now I've got to mentally prepare all over again. LOL. I will be going in for retrieval on Saturday at 8:00AM.

IF is just unpredictable!!! Psych yourself out for Saturday now. Everything will go perfectly! I hope you get lots of great eggies!

Thanks, she finally got in touch with her RE this morning and they told her not to worry about it...that it wasn't a necessary shot, so she'd be fine. The the nurse just happened to find enough to get her through tonight....so YAY, she's good!

Thanks for the prenatal information as well. I keep reading online that a lot of women get them prescription but my RE's office just called back and said that OTC would be fine, just make sure they had enough folic acid in them. I'm headed to the store in a little while....and I found some online to compare too (Promise Prenatal). The Promise ones sound good because they say they have more B6? in them to make them not cause you to be so sick....but at 15.00 for a month's supply, I'm thinking I can find something a bit cheaper at the store?

Sadly if they'd call me some in that were on the Walmart script list, it would only be 4.00....that would be nice

By the way, did any of you take Medrol? Know what it's for? When Freedom went over my meds list, this was on it, only 4 pills. I wondered what it was for. Someone said it was to help the body not reject the embryo's? That sounds scary!

$15 is not too much for the prenatal. I pay about $17 for mine. You want to make sure that it has at least 400 micrograms of folic acid in it. Mine has 1000 micrograms in it. Medrol is a steroid and you take after ER to help with the swelling of the ovaries and to lower your immune response just a little to keep your body from rejecting the embaby. Your shouldn't do this, but the RE's aren't taking any chances.

Janice - Thanks - MaryAnne gave me some of those Tandem OB's to try and I broke out in the worst rash. It was -painful. It happened right before I started the injections. I'm on another kind now that Serena wrote me a script for, much better. (got them at home).

Are you feeling better? I'm still crampy.

Sorry you had that reaction! That sucks! Some people don't react well to certain types of the prenatals. THe first one that I took made me soooo constipated. It was awful!

I still feel weird, like I've got gas or something and it won't get better! After I eat, my pelvic area feels crampy. If I walk too fast, my ovaries give me some twinges to. Are your boobs sore? Mine are a little sore in the mornings when I wake up.

Wow are you off all next week? I' was supposed to be, but I thought that the beta would be on the 5/16 or 17 but mine is going to be on 5/12! That is so early! I may have to go back to Lubbock and work Thurs and Fri so I can have Mon and Tues off the following week. I don't know. I may talk to my boss and see if I can take some unpaid days of leave. It would be so much easier to have the week off!

omgoodness pris, i'm sooo excited & happy for you! yay, your retrieval is on saturday! yes, IF is very unpredictable. anywho, this is awesome news. i had a feeling you'd get more than that first scan. <3

janice, awesome news on your embies! looks like you'll be all set for the 5-day do you know how many you plan on transferring? also, my nipples are extremely sore too. it's the progesterone.

we transferred 3 8-cell embryos this morning. we also have 3 more that they are keeping in the lab (2 6-cell, 1 5-cell) to see if they further divide.

bedridden. i ate some pineapple wedges earlier today and i'm on my 2nd small glass of welch's purple grape juice. my question is, can i eat more pineapple (it's sooo tasty) and drink another glass of juice or will i be overdoing it?

I don't see why not as long as you don't completely overdo it. You could probably have up to 16 ounces of grape juice and 2 to 3 pinepple wedges. You had a good number of embabies and the did a 3-day transfer on you. Is that the standard at you're RE's office?

they prefer to do the 3-day, but you can have 5-day too. i was hoping to do a 5-day myself, but they didn't want me to. i'm just happy that i had the 3 8's. my clinic also doesn't have you take anything after the transfer such as medrol or estrace. i thought that was odd. are you to take anything else after transfer?

The predinisone is for after ER. I don't think we take anything after ET. I'm also on doxycycline right now as well, but only until transfer day. I almost pushed for a 3 day transfer b/c the rates of implantation in 3 day and 5 day are about the same. I'm not sure why they push for the 5 day. I just want them to make it.
