Irene-we have the EXACT same protocol with stims (Follistim 225IU and 1 Menopur) starting on 3/28. My RE scheduled my ER for 4/4, so I wouldn't be worried about getting your dates pushed back. Also, the number of follies you have sounds great. I think I have fewer than you, and my RE told me that it was good.

I heard that you want 200 E2 per mature follicle, but that number sounds high - I mean you'd have to have a 2000 E2 with just 10 follicles!

Did you mean it when you said your ER was scheduled for 4/4 (today)? My doc is currently thinking 4/9 or 4/10.

I just got my call for the day, and my E2 was 956. They're keeping me on the follistim 225 and lupron 5 but dropping the menapur for tonight (yay, it's the worst one!). I get another E2 test tomorrow morning and depending on that level, they'll adjust my meds and schedule the next u/s Sunday or Monday. My belly already feels full and uncomfortable, so the next few days should really make that more. Luckily I already have soft-waisted clothing because of my IBS.

I've never been very good at waiting ...

Irene-I meant to write that my ER was scheduled for 4/8 (sorry..it's the stims!). Yeah, 200 per follicle sounds like a LOT of estrogen. My belly has really started poking out too. This IVF really does a number on my clothing options.

Looks like our April buddy thread ladies are off for a fun weekend! Any plans? DH and I are going to lie low and hang out. We are looking forward to relaxing.

I got my E2 levels and they were 2860. I think that is what someone said earlier (200 for every follicle...hmmm)...so, we shall see what tomorrow brings at my U/S and B/W apt. Weekend apts. are weird I think. I am glad they do them, but it seems strange to go to a RE on a weekend, you know?

I do not remember who asked about ER and pain, but unlike some of the others, I actually felt just fine after my ER with my first IVF in January. I had my Vicodin all ready to take, but never needed it. And my DH is not allowed in the room for ER, but is for ET. It was really cool during my ET in January, I could actually see on the ultrasound the 2 embryos as they were injected in!

Hi everyone, I am getting lost in these posts...I can't ever catch up, I'm not sure how to...
so here is my update.
we had 8 eggs 7 were good and all 7 fertilized...I wait tomorrow to hear how well they are doing.
I am still achey and had a few blood clots discharge after the ER...it was definately more painful this time than last for some reason...I also slept all day after the proceedure!!! I feel hung over today and still kindof out of it.
My doc. does a 4 day transfer to I plan to get my baby's on Monday...it feels awful to know my baby's are in a lab away from me right now...sounds silly but it's real.

chery .. i agree with you doesnt it feel odd..its like our re's are babysitting.... we took pictures of our re office and videos to show our"kids" were they were born ....

WOW! I just had five pages to read just to catch up! Congrats to all who finished their retrieval.

My 1st cycle I was knocked out for the ER but afterwards I was in some pain. It fell the week of Thanksgiving so I had those long four day weekends but went back to work Monday and became sick as a dog!! (nausea, lightheadedness, weak, and pain in stomach) Went back to our fertility Dr. that same day and he said I had a slight case of OHSS. Was home for another three days because then we had the transfer. Looking back it wasn't so bad.

***my update***
Had my u/s today. My lining is at 12mm, Dr. said it's where it should be. I go back Wed. 4/9 for last u/s and transfer is set for Tuesday 4/15!!!

The best news was that I can stop my LUPRON today!

Thank goodness. I had sticking myself with those things. I can never get use to them. No needles until Wednesday. PIO starts then....great, bigger needles! At least my DH does them and not me.
As long as I don't see it go in.

I start one injection Wednesday it is garnilix day after I start estrogen, then I wait for AF!!!!!! let the party begin

Cheryl – Monday will be here before you know it and you will be PUPO…congrats! I think I will feel the same way as you when my time comes. Too bad they don’t let us watch them grow somehow. Do you think I will need to take 2 days off for the ER? I was only planning on taking one and then going back to work the next day.

Prayingforbabies – So it sounds like you already have about 14 mature follicles? That is great! I have to go in tomorrow too for my 1st us/bw..I kinda like when the appts fall on the weekend so I am not stressed about getting into work. Let us know how it goes.
