ok the re just called me .... i still have 20 embies ... one isnt lookin to good so he told me to forget about it ....(why does that hurt) sooo he said were lookin at a tues transfer !!!!

I went to the RE this morning (7:30am! But, at least he was there!) and I am officially scheduled for my ER on Tuesday. I didn't ask for an update on my follicles/growth b/c it wasn't my usual RE or nurse since it was the weekend. I can't believe it's here. Tomorrow I will be making my turkey casserole. Monday I will be buying my 100% grape juice and pineapple. Those little guys are IMPLANTING whether they like it or not!

My ER says that we can't BD any sooner than 48 hours before the ER, but we should BD no fewer than 5 days before...weird. All the RE's have different protocols. No BD for me until after beta for me. Sorry DH.

Hi Natalie--Are you a UCLA fan? My DH is hard core...he even flew to San Antonio to see them play in the Final Four! but they lost last night

That's so exciting that you are going for your ER early! It's so much nicer than having to go late like me (darn AF being late!).

Hey, can you pass along how to make a turkey casserole? I do not cook (don't have time), so I have no idea how I will get my turkey intake! (do cold cuts work? lol)

Oh, and BTW, the reason RE says to BD more than 2 days but less than 5 days before ER is that the sperm need at least 48 hours to "build up" with good numbers before giving a sample the day of ER, but if the sperm for the sample are any older than 5 days old, they are more likely to have started losing quality (like lower motility, morphology, etc).

Right, so the importance here is a fresh sperm load for DH - So yesterday we didn't BD, we dealt with it elsewise.

19 is still spectacular! How many are you going to transfer? 3 days or 5? (You might have already answered this but I can't keep two facts in my head at the moment.)

Hello ladies,

I just got back from getting my b/w & u/s. I have been on stims (Gonal-F & Menopur) since Thursday and on my u/s I only had 4 follicles. Last Sunday I had 5 (before starting any meds) so I have lost a follicle. This is my first IVF so this is all new to me but I don't think this is a good sign of things to come!! I should be producing more follicles by now shouldn't I?

I should hear about my b/w later today but I'm not expecting anything positive......

Is it normal not to be producing more follicles on your day 4 check up?

you still have plenty of time a lot of us stimmed for 10 days or longer.

I'm hoping we have a 5 day this time around but it will depend on the number of eggs and then the fertilization report. I need to make more than 4 this time but my meds are doubled so hopefully

We are also having 3 put back cause I'm of advanced age

It was kind of funny - I saw my "real" RE today for the first time in a while, he's a senior member of the clinic staff and he says that comes to do the ultrasounds when things are getting exciting.

So I'm definitely on track! I have 5 or so follies at 15-16mm and 10 or so at 10-14 and multiple at less than 10. He said that what we want is the largest to get around 17. My lining is at 10mm which is said is perfect. I've got another u/s scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Depending on what my E2 comes back as, there's a 2/3rds chance that I will do the same stimms tonight and trigger tomorrow for a Wed ER! Other possiblities are reduced stimms and Wed ER and slight chance of Thurs ER, but no later. Getting close!

You're doing just fine! Most likely that 'lost follicle' was just a cyst. I had about the same number as you after four days of stimming, and I'm now at a good number. A normal stimm length is 8-10 days. Your follies are just getting revved up!

Hi everyone,
First I want to start off by saying I am so hopeful to all you girls/guys out there making our lives more complete!!

I am in a difficult position...good news, we have 7 viable embryos...but I can only transfer 3...we didn't think we would be in this situation...we opted to not freeze...my sister is really upset about the other embryo's...I have tried to put it out of my mind...what would you do????

My clinic just called, and my E2 is at 1976 and the same stimms dosage tonight. Onwards and upwards!
