Irena..........Have you tried flaxseed for your constipation? I used to work in the ER with an doctor and she swore by flaxseed. I got my sister started on it, and she has seen lots of improvement. Also, have you tried any of those new yogurts like Activia. They are also supposed to help. With the bathroom issues that run in my family, I'm really lucky to have none. Good luck.........I hope you can get it controlled.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried everything under the sun for my IBS, but it's really hard to do things that help my wacky hormones and don't hurt my IBS. Ironically the form of IBS I've struggled with for over a decade was diarrhea so I'm a little bemused by this constipation. I'm working with a naturopath who's helped me on a lot of things.

heading for work out

Ok if I post here when I work out I'll be tracking it.

Don't ask about Dinner YIKES The pre-k I work with are great but we have an issue with special Ed and I've ended up with a headache from two different administration today. head ache is a dull ache so i'm headed for the eliptical. I really want twenty pounds off before starting stims in April. I'd be happy with 10

I love this forum and I like how a bunch of us are tryign to get healthy on this thread.

to you all

Just came back from gym and rode the bike today for 30 minutes. It felt so good to relieve stress. AAAHHHHH!

Irena, try eating water melon and ripe papaya (without the white part and no accidental seed!) It helps greatly with constipation. Also keeping very well hydrated and eating fiberous foods is good. Here in India we get something called Isabgol which is something like flaxseed and its the most effective thing for constipation. On a different note, why the switch from loose to constipation? Happened with me too and it eventually turned out that I had hypothyroidism. Have you got that checked?

Thanks for the advice! I've had my thyroid checked a couple of times for the IF and it's fine. The switch is probably due to a couple of things - with supplements, I'm helping to reduce my estrogen dominance and have extended my luteal phase to normal lengths, but progesterone can actually encourage constipation, so I fix one problem and get another. Second idea is that I got a stool sample screened for good and bad bacteria in my GI tract, and one bad one showed up. I took the treatment to get rid of it, which probably worked (have to get tested again) but that bacteria generally leads to diarrhea and now it's gone, so I'm constipated! I'm taking replacement good bacteria, but hasn't helped yet. I hate my body sometimes ... *grumble*

Heart hi everyone

We had our f/u with our RE yesterday and it looks like our second IVF will be in April. Hello to all my January cycle buddies!!! My RE wanted to do IVF in March but my insurance company wants me to do one more IUI with stim meds!!! My RE said she could appeal it but by the time the appeal was finished I could have completed the IUI and not wasted a cycle. I am just going to be grateful for the coverage and not complain. I feel better now to have a fresh start.
to all!!!!!!!

New here

Hello everyone,

I am new here and will be starting my first IVF cycle sometime in April. This will probably be my only try as I am 38 with a high FSH - I am told this will be a long shot for me but my doc feels as though it is reasonable to try since I came back with a better AFC than anticipated. So I am hoping and praying but being practical. DE may be our next step.

We have been TTC for about 4 yrs. but are the parents of a DS that we adopted in 2006 from Russia. He is nearly 3 now and quite the handful!! I was told in late 2004 that I had poor egg reserve and sent on my way with a DE packet. At that time my DH and I were not quite on board with it and started the adoption process. We desperately want a second child and a sibling for our son.

I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Jenny

Count Me In!

I start my BCP today (2/26); I am scheduled for my egg retrieval on 4/2 and embryo transfer on 4/5 or 4/7. All of my meds start around 3/15.

This is my first IVF, so any encouragement is greatly appreciated!
