Hi girls,

IUI #2 is done and IVF consult coming up. So I guess I'm on the waiting for (3/18) list now too! They'll start me on BCPs by 2/20-21, then lupron following a few weeks of the BCPs. Keeping my fingers crossed for a but ready to go with IVF if needed. %'s seem so much better!
Know what you guys are saying about the DH and schedules. DH makes it seem like such a big deal having to figure out when IUI will be scheduled - I've reminded him numerous times that for us ladies, we're constantly at the hospital/dr for ultrasounds/blood, etc that take up hours of our weeks! And most if not all of us are doing this in addition to other full time things! (arghhhhh, sorry to vent).
I've lost it a few times with him already, so am trying to be understanding, but it is sure darn hard!

Go April IVF ladies! and to everyone!

OMG, I just got four huge packages from my mail-order pharmacy! I get my injection training tomorrow so hopefully I'll learn what it's all for, but it's pretty overwhelming ...

dietary changes?

I was wondering if any of you are modifying your diet in hopes of helping your BFP? Like limiting or cutting out caffeine? taking any supplements? black magic or strange rituals?

I have cut out all caffeine - I drink a little decaff coffee (decaff by the safe method)

I have been taking a prenatal of course and Co-Q10 supplements.

I add flax seed to my cereal every morning.

I'm slowly incorporating organic foods into my diet and I also have cut my dairy in half by adding almond milk to my regular milk.

Ive been trying to walk for an hour 4-5 times/week too.

I told my RE I had quit caffeine and I thought he'd be all like, "that's great" all he said was, "you can have caffeine in moderation..." ha! oh well. I sleep better now.

anyone else?

I cut out all caffeine including chocolate, I'm excercising at least 3 days a week on the eliciptical and added DHEA supplement. I'm changing my bedroom around to be a fertility play-ground incorporating feng shui for fertility. I also bought a fertility necklace and have my fertility crystals from first ivf.

Rachhorch, CONGRATS on getting your schedule.
LadyR,CONGRATS on getting . Isn't it funny how we got excited she was here?!

Tracilynn, I cut out caffeine (however, I started drinking 1/2 caff as I am at my parents and it is hard to ask them to change to DECAF) but once I get home back to DECAF. As for anything else, nothing different except I am going to exercise, as my RE says it is OK to be done in moderation (no twisting or turning) once I start STIMS.

Hi girls,

I too have modified my diet a good deal, but only take a prenatal (tried fertility blend and some other stuff). I had eliminated caffeine months ago but now have an occasional half caf (Keurig makes awesome half-caf K cups). I also stick to decaf- but organic (Newman's makes an awesome organic decaf). I try to buy more organic veggies - carrot sticks, spinach and each broccoli a few times a week. I add sunflower seeds to my salad at lunch, and eat seeds and nuts like a squirel. I probably have more milk than I should but its organic too. No more alcohol either - not even an occasional glass of wine. I got feeling too guilty about it - that maybe I was sabotaging all the hard work. But I also can't give up chocolate. It's been my reward going thru all of this - especially m&ms. I always have a dish full and they are comforting. And we deserve a little self indulgence!

I didn't want to give up chocolate but it has caffeine and with ttc for 13 years I figured it would only benefit this IVF Stuff.

Hello everybody, how have we been?
I am very excited, now that I am starting my BCPs!

I was on an all fruit and no salt diet yesterday. Lost 3 pounds which I am happy to say will come back to me as soon as I eat a 'salted' meal!! *sigh* But I felt more energised and light on my feet. I guess I will substitute at least one meal a day with fruits.

irene_adler, I got my meds today too. One package was so huge looked like it was a scientific experiment waiting to be unveiled! To make matters worse, I had them sent to my job because I had to sign for it. Thank goodness no one is here today!

Ladies, as far as diet, I have officially been on the "fertility diet" for about 4 months now. See my signature below--that is pretty much about all I eat nowadays. EXTREMELY RESTRICTIVE, but what they hey--I'll do anything for my babies!! Go to your local library for some really cool vegetarian and vegan cookbooks and great recipes. I am not a vegetarian--I eat non-hormonal meats from Whole Foods--but the recipes in the books can help beat boredom when it comes to your side dishes.

Good luck!
