I think I'm gonna get lucky and have only sub q. I'll be on Lupron, follistim and menopur. I know follistim is subq - I"m not sure about the others. I triggered in the past with ovidrel(subq) (with my IUIs) not sure what my trigger is this time. He already said I could choose between PIO or suppos and I"m going with suppos after hearing some PIO stories on this board - (LOL) - I 'm a wuss but I did get stuck with 18 needles today at accupuncture! He lit me up, I tell ya!

I just wanted to pop in and say hello! I am still waiting for AF right now. I've still got about 2 more weeks until I'll start looking for her. I started acupuncture as well recently. I think it kinda hurts so far. The needles sting me a little. Maybe I'm just a wuss. I hope that it will help with my energy. According to the acupuncturist, my chi (ki?) is all out of whack. My top half is way high energy and my bottom half is very low energy. The enerrgy that I have in the middle is off balance left to right. Anyways he is working on correcting that issue. I'm also workng on trying to lowerr my blood pressure some. Since this IF stuff started last October, my blood pressure has shot up out of the normal range. I have to learn to control my stress. Easier said than done...

I;ve found accupuncture hurts when your energy is off it gets better as treatments go on. I hate having needles in my pinky toe I jump every freaking time

At one point years ago when I did acup. I was told one of my pulses seemed like something was dead. Well come to find out my right tube is completely blocked and that is the side my pulse was dead. I cannot wait to start acup. again next week.

Janice........I hate that your acup. hurt some. Where all did he put the needles? You should check with him and see if he can do electrostimulation. Mine did that this time and I felt nothing what so ever. She said there is no difference. I actually preferred the needles, because it was more relaxing. Hope the next visit it better.

Cathy.......The pinky toe was the only one that bothered me, but it wasn't too bad. I thought the one in the head was going to be bad, but never felt it.

I've started my Lupron injections, and I'm not sure what I was scared about. They are easier then waxing. Hope you all are doing well.

Hi.... I am hoping you ladies will let me join your thread a little late.... I got approved for a medical study and have just kind of jumped into this rather quickly....which is definately fine by me.... so I have been spending tons of time researching to make sure I know everything that will happen....thats my stress relief (research) anyways I am on BC now and will be starting Lupron on the 14th. I am a little nervous and very anxious/excited/hopeful.... ok maybe very nervous too.... Thanks in advance for your support and Good Luck to all of you as well..... oh yeah my Estimated ER is April 3 and I was wondering who else has theirs planned for this day or close to it?

I'm scheduled for ER on the 3rd of April too. I started Lupron on the 7th. I was really nervous, but that was a waste of time. The injection was so easy. Plucking my eyebrows causes more pain. I did have a little itching afterwards. Good Luck.

Jana- Looks like we have alot in common ... I have also had my tubes removed, although due to Ectopics and this is my 1st cycle....Also I am a teacher of 3 year olds.... What Grade/Age do you teach?

I think I've taught it all, but I love 5th and 6th grade. I think I'm one of a few. Since we moved to different states, I took the year off, but am hoping to find something for next year. I think you are awesome for teaching year olds. I couldn't do it.

We start Lupron 3/24. Btu talk about waiting... I've been on bcp's since 2/16. Doesn't make sense! I don't see anyone else on here that takes 6 weeks of bcp's. Seems like that would be TOO much suppression..??

Mitziesmom2007, I've been on BCP's since my last failed IUI in Jan. Don't know when I will stop them. I will find that out on Wednesday when I go to my ART injection class.

Wow.... at least I'm not by myself! I couldn't figure out why so many protocols call for shorter periods of bcp's followed by Lupron and on to stims and seems the entire process is much shorter than what they have called for me. 2/16 bcp's; 3/24 Lupron; 3/28 stop bcp's; 4/4 begin Menopur and Gonal F, continue until estimated er on 4/17... just seems like such a long cycle??? doesn't it?

CathyH...I'm not sure if I've had any side effects with the DHEA. I have noticed a few strands of hair falling out. Also, I've been very nauseas lately but not sure if its from DHEA. My doctor thinks its a stomach virus.

Welcome Kensbaby!! So glad to see you in this group..I was so bummed about your bfn in Feb. I have a good feeling that April will be a prosperous baby making month. We'll be seeing a lot of BFPs...

So my uncle (who rarely ever calls me) called me the other evening. It turns out that his girlfriend who is 52 years old just had a baby boy by IVF. She used donor eggs of course but still..52 years old...I couldn't believe it. I didn't even know she was doing IVF.
