Hi babycrzy! Looks like you and I would be having our ER around the same time!
So sorry for the bad news cathyh, April cycle WILL work for you!
irena_adler welcome! My DH is doing the exact same thing! Sticking his head under the sand. I think I will soon start calling him 'dear ostrich'. I think not dealing with the MF situation at all is their way of dealing with the situation!!! (huh?)

Best of luck and lots of baby dust to all of us

DH is used to being the healthy one all the time, where I'm usually the sick one. So when we had fertility issues, both of us assumed it was me! The urologist told him that there wasn't any particular reason for his lazy, misformed sperm, but that losing a little weight might help. He's now back to exercising for the first time in 10 years, so at least that's something good from this... :}

Well, In my case also we used to think it was me, as my DH is super fit (except for a few pounds of extra weight ). But then all the tests showed its exactly the opposite!!

The good thing for us is that our s*x life is way too good now! We 'BD' because we WANT to, not because we HAVE to!

I'm looking forward to that! Still gonna take a little bit to get over the shock and upsetness, though.

Thanks for the welcome LadyR.......So have you started anything yet like BCP? I do not believe I am to start anything until after my March AF which should be March 6/7. My DH is having MESA done the day of my ER. We were going to do this 5 yrs ago but when he heard what he had to endure he chickened out...Now 5 yrs later, he is ready and now my body has the effects of 5 yrs. So, was the MESA painful for him?

Lots of Baby wishes,
Candace

Hi babycrzy! I would be starting my BCP's as soon as I get my AF(March 1st or 2nd) Then on the 14th day, will start with Gonal-F. As for the Mesa/Tese, well, DH was quite sore for quite sometime. Maybe they did multiple biopsies... Although they DID find a lot of sperm (93 mil per ml to be precise) I am not so happy with the procedure. Other docs we consulted with later told us that nowadays there is almost no need for biopsies as needle aspirations are good enough for IVF/ICSI as they just need a cpl of hundered sperm maybe?? But then again they say you are taking a chance with that as there is a 10% chance of NOT finding any sperm at all.
Having said that, just today I read a lady's post in which her doc told them that with biopsies there might be some damaging trauma to the testes and they might stop producing sperm for some time! So now I am very confused and dont know what to advise you. But I would suggest going to the best andro-urologist and getting 3-4 opinions first. Have you got all the bloodwork done as yet? FSH, LH, Inhibin, Testosterone, fructose etc?

It's procedures like the MESA that remind me of how lucky I am. Yes, I'm going to have to go through ICSI, but at least my DH can produce the sperm in the usual way.

Hi all. We just got our (chemical pregnancy) from our first IVF cycle at the beginning of Feb. We didn't have any embroys to freeze so here we go again.

i'm thinking the ER/ET will be the end of March beginning of April so here I am on the April thread.

It would be so cool to have a baby for Christmas. Especially for me because I always seem to have a hard time not having any children around Christmas time.

Good luck to all!!!

Hi everyone! I just completed IVF #1 and had my beta this morning. HPT's have all been negative and my RE said they are usually pretty accurate. So I'm waiting for the official BFN and then we will be moving on the our FET which should be the end of March or beginning of April depending on when AF shows up. I'd love to join your thread!

Thanks! I wish the IVF would have worked on the first try too, but we knew there was a chance it would not. I am glad we have 3 frozen embryos...I just hope they make it through the thaw!

WOW!. This is a big list. It will be nice knowing there are others going through the same thing at the same time. That way we can all vent our frustrations, worries, concerns etc..... I personally feel like I may have a hard time emotionally. I want to try to be as Stressfree as possible. Good luck to all and am looking forward to future post.
p.s. we have to go to an ART class on March 12th, then after that not sure when we will be starting our protocol. The RE said sometime after class I will be going off the BCP have a period then on from there. So I'm excited to get started. How are some of you ladies spending your time waiting for your turn? I've been trying to to think of it so much and have some me time or time that is TTC free time. What are others doing?
