Monday, Monday

I wanted to drop by and see how my April Ladies are doing.

Here's an update on what's going on with me. I decided to do FET as soon as possible. It will probably be July or August txfr. I got a call from my RE giving me some possibly bad news (as if I needed more). I had 13 embryos frozen, however, there was a glitch w/the freezer and once it reached its lowest temperature it suddenly beeped and started to go back up to the starting freezing temp. (so from about -40 degrees back to zero). The lab tech heard the beep and new something was wrong so he rushed to the freezer and grabbed my embryos and put them in liquid nitrogen (which is what they do once they are frozen). What we don't know is if he go to the embryos soon enough. So, my RE said we should go ahead with the FET and thaw all of the embryos and depending on if there are any that make it we will txfr 1 or 2. I could not believe I was getting more bad news. I am TRYING to keep positive and am hoping that the embryos are okay. If they are not I will have to do a fresh cycle again, and I was really hoping not to have to do another one. Of course my RE said that the FET would be free (not sure if he meant if it doesn't work or works or either) and I won't have to pay for freezing. If the embryos are not viable, uuh, I don't even want to think about that, but apparently they will give us some discount or something for having to do another fresh cycle. I can't believe my luck (or lack of). They took the freezer in to get it looked at and apparently they could not find anything wrong. Don't think they'll be using that freezer again though.

Cathy, good luck at your beta tomorrow. Don't give up until you hear what the beta results are. There is still a chance.

Reenabear, good luck today. I hope for a positive beta for you.

Traci, good luck on your next beta. I am sure it will be fine. i guess the worries never go away.

Nolla, good luck on your next beta!

Tisha, I am glad you decided to get back up, dust yourself off and start right away. I am too. I probably won't have the txfr until July though. My RE's office is pretty booked up. I called my RE to see if I can start bcp today. I got on Saturday. I knew it was coming with the BFN, but it is so strange to think that my "little bean" is passing through me and no longer trying to implant. Good luck. I am also doing FET so maybe I will see you on the FET boards.

Irena, it looks like you and I will both be doing FET . I look forward to going through another cycle with you in the FET boards! I pray that this next cycle is successful for both of us. How are you doing?

Ritu, I know you are having a hard time figuring out what to do since you are carrying triplets. I think you are right to have the dr. help you decide. If carrying triplets puts you and the babies in danger than it may be best to do selective reduction. I know it must be such a hard thing to contemplate....The reason I only txfrd 1 blast was b/c I am 5'3" and very petite, so I knew that carrying twins but especially triplets would be too hard on my body. I would probably have had to be on bedrest for the entire pregnancy. I knew my body could not handle getting that big. But my situation is not your situation, and no one can (or should) tell you what to do. You and DH have to make that decision along with your RE's advice. There is no easy decision, but you will end up doing what's best for your family--don't let yourself be swayed by what someone else thinks or did or would do.

Rana, I hope you had a fabulous weekend with your friend in town and celebrating Mother's Day with your son yesterday. I am sorry that this cycle did not work for you either. I was really hoping it would. I hope that i see you over in the FET boards...let me know if you are planning to try another cycle again soon. Feel free to send me a PM. I would love to kit. I am sending you a big hug.

I have joined the FET boards, but I will continue to check on you gals. I feels so lucky to have been involved with such a supportive group of women. I wish we were all celebrating , and I will admit that Mother's Day was very difficult for me yesterday, but I am truly happy for each and every one of you who are pregnant. We all know how long and difficult the road to mommyhood has been. Here's hoping that we all get !

I am not sure who else has beta's coming up except Cathy and Reena, but I want to wish you all the best of luck. Also good luck to those who will be doing ER and ET soon. And hello and hugs to the rest of my April ladies--Amy, Rach, Gracie, Isabela, Nolla, Ava, Jenny,2008hopeful, yobaby, Marcia, Julia, Evy, Ladybug, HollyC, Page, Leslie, malloned, chery, nursesunshine, Nikki, and to all those I have missed.

Traci - I promise things will be ok. You have had 2 strong BETA's and things are on the up and up from here on out.

Irena - I hope this time goes by quicker for you.

Ritu - I did not realize how petite you were. Definitely follow drs orders.

Carrbear - I am sorry about the freezer but hopefully - things will turn out well and you will soon have your embabies in you.

I was really excited that my beta doubled until I talked to the Dr. He said that they hold their breath until the ultrasound in "low starters". So here I go again, it will be about 2 weeks until I have an ultrasound and I feel like its hard for me to relax and enjoy being pregnant.

Oh, c'mon that's not a low starter! I think you'll be just fine, but maybe the doc will do a third beta between now and the u/s? COngrats on the great second beta!

Carrbear, that's just insane! So hope that at least some of your embies survived the premature thaw!

Today or tomorrow for this to pass...

[quote=Ava78]I was really excited that my beta doubled until I talked to the Dr. He said that they hold their breath until the ultrasound in "low starters". So here I go again, it will be about 2 weeks until I have an ultrasound and I feel like its hard for me to relax and enjoy being pregnant.

Ava- I think your numbers sound good. I will be sending you prayers for the best news.
