ladybug and kate31! You two are so awesome to get right back into your next IVFs. I really admire how courageous and resiliant you are! That is so admirable to me. I will be praying that #2 will be the charm for both of you.

My AF stopped today and will start on my active bcp until March 7th when I start my Lupron.

I still can't believe I'm really starting this again. It seems surreal.

Sending all of my April Bubbies !

I just got the call from my RE that my beta was negative. I'm doing ok though...I knew that it would be negative. My RE called me himself which I thought was really great. He's so supportive and optimistic. He said that I should not give up hope just because this cycle didn't work...said that the frozen embryos are there and definitely worth giving them a shot. He said it was up to me when I wanted to start the FET, but I think I am going to wait a month and just give myself time to regroup and relax a little without having to focus on TTC, IVF, infertility, etc. So I will definitely be in the April group as long as everything goes as planned...

My DH and I are doing some remodeling so I will probably devote some of my time to that. Our 5 year anniversary is coming up on 3/15/08 and we might go away for a weekend. We are highschool sweethearts and have been together for 15 years! We have really been praying for a baby and I feel that God will give us our own child when the time is right...

I had my TTC overload in 2006 when I was spending hours and hours every day on the pregnancy.org forums. This time I'm trying to keep it small and focused. Oh, and avoid all those "I've been TTC for three whole months, why isn't it working? Oh, it worked!"

For distraction, I'm actually sick at the moment with a GI thing so I'm just cruising LiveJournal and YouTube.

It definitely is hard to stop obsessing about IVF and "do I have any symptoms" etc. I feel like I've been glued to the computer since we started the IVF process. Hopefully it will be easier next time since I will know what to expect. I feel happy for people who get their BFP, but sometimes it's really hard because I just wonder "Why did it work for them and not me?" I know that seems selfish, but I guess I'm only human...

Cathy - Wow! We sure have a lot in common! I think the hardest thing about infertility has got to be the emotional aspect of it. My DH and I have been trying for years...Our best friends got pregnant the first try with baby #1 and it only took them a few months to conceive baby #2. We've been trying and trying and trying...each month I would get my hopes up and then they would be crushed by the negative HPT. This is such a hard thing to deal with...Why us????

I hope April is our month too! We deserve it!

What type of remodeling are you doing? We bought our house in 2001. We thought it would be a "starter" home since it's a little small. But even if we have children, we are now planning on staying here. We really like our house and the area. It was built in 1989 so some of it was a little outdated. We just completed a kitchen remodeling project where we gutted everything and started new. It was an ordeal, but well worth it! I love my new kitchen and we've made much better use of the space...I have so much more counter space and more cabinets for storage. We also painted and did a little work in our living room and dining room. All of our doors and moldings were painted white and we are in the process of replacing them with natural wooden ones. Most of the molding is done, but I still have to stain and polyurthene all the doors...didn't do that last month in case I was pregnant. I guess I don't have any excuses now! So I'm hoping during my month off I can get a lot of things done...Then once we have this remodeling project paid for, we are thinking of building and addition for our bedroom. I'd love a master suite with a larger bathroom (with a garden tub) and a walk in closet...

Yes, I have done one round of bloodwork and the u/s. My FSH is the only #he told me but it was 11.8 and the u/s was supposively great. I had 18 folli and all was well with everything else. Now I am on the DHEA 3 times per day and I am going to do accupuncture to try to bring it down. I have cut out all caffine as well. The RE said my chances are lowered to a 1 in 3. We have agreed to only try once...so if it is meant to be it will be.

we bought our house in 1998 it was built in 1952. It is a wreck but we live on a pond with 300 feet of shore frontage I love the land!!!

We have torn out walls and building a new wall to hide our candle area(we have a side business making candles) Replacing windows, sheet rocking and putting in a new cabinet space in kitchen I have hardly any now.

the plan was if we were to get pg. we'd make the candle area the baby room. Right now it is staying the candle area.

We are also getting ready to lay our 14 year old german shepard away. She is so bright and alert but has trouble walking it really isn't fair to her. My Dh is having a difficult time with it and it is especially hard with the .

I just bought DHEA to help lower my fsh it is 11.2 so hoping we have a better stim cycle in April.

Lets stay in touch to get through all of this.

Glad to find a cycle buddy.

Cathy

Sounds like you've been busy remodeling too! It's a lot of work and it's hard to have your house torn up. We have a 3 bedroom rancher. One of the bedrooms is set up as our office. My DH started finishing the basement several years ago when we started TTC because we wanted to make the office the nursery. Maybe we will both get that chance sometime soon!

I'm so sorry about your dog...We have a Shih Tzu and she is our little baby. She just turned 8 in December and other than having hypothyroidism (and being a little overweight) she seems to be healthy. I sure hope she lives a long time because I love her so much. I think because we don't have kids, our dogs become our children. I think of Lady (my dog) as my baby and that's how she's treated...one spoiled little doggie!

We definitely have to keep in touch...We have so much in common! Your house sounds great! What shore do you live by? We live in Chambersburg, PA. It's not a really big city, but I grew up in the country so it seems like a big city to me! I miss the country sometimes, but where we live is close to town but has that "country" feel to the area.

I'm a little worried about my DH and how he is taking the BFN. When I told him last week that I didn't think the IVF worked because I didn't feel pregnant, he got teary eyed. But he has been strong for me since all the negative HPT's...He cried a little bit, but not a lot and I know that it's important for him to grieve too. Even though we never had a baby, it still feels like we lost a baby...and we never got pictures of our embryos. I wish now I would have asked for some, but it's too late now....

it is just a small pond in the country. My DH has been too "strong" in front of me about the failed IVF. He grieves in his own way. Both our dogs are really spoiled just like MY BABY will be

Sometimes I think my DH would rather give up having kids at all with all that I've gone through and will go through. He just hates to see me upset and hurting. He'll be a good daddy, though.

I just found out recently that my bro and SIL went through three rounds of unsuccessful IVF before stopping. They now have six kids through adoption and almost all those kids have issues that would have made it so that they were hard to adopt, so maybe it was meant to be that they couldn't get pregnant, but still ... (I wasn't at all surprised that my bro would have fertility issues, since he's been on heavy-duty epilepsy drugs since he was a kid.)

See, just goes on to prove the point that we IF people are better human beings
How nice of your bro to adopt children who might not be welcome in other homes....
As for my husband, he says as long as he doesnt have to get another Tese done, he is willing to try IVF 6-7 times!!!!!!!!!! He already calls me his pin cushion.
lol
