I am also going through my first IVF cycle in April. I start Lupron on March 30th. I am really nervous about this and am so thankful to find this site and meet women going through the same thing. I am trying not to be anxious about all of the injections and the entire procedure. Any ideas for relaxation?

Looking forward to going through this with all of you. Hopefully we will have good news in May!

1- I only put 2 back last time. They say that because I'm 31, I don't have the option to put 3 back. They told me they will only put 3 back in pts over the age of 35. As for this upcoming FET, I will put back however many survive the thaw!!

2-No genetic testing as of yet. However, if I have another 1 or 2 failed cycles, I might consider it.

3- My RE's office considers gender selection unethical and will absolutely NOT do it.



You girls who have insurance are so lucky! I am completely self pay, from the procedure to the meds. But good for you!

Looking forward to getting to know you all. My hubby and I are lucky enough to have our insurance cover a portion of the procedure. We are doing IVF with ICSI so it costs more. We did have to shell out nearly $9000, but hopefully will be reimbursed a good portion of that. I have not ordered my meds yet, but plan to do that on Monday. Hopefully we have good medication coverage as well. The finance dept at our fertility clinic did say we have one of the best coverages for infertility in MN.

Is anyone else located in MN? We are in the twin cities area.

We are off to visit our friends, one who has a one-year old and just recently had a miscarriage. I was so happy for her when she got pregnant again for the 2nd time, but also felt that twinge of jealousy. After her miscarriage I felt terrible for feeling jealous.

It does seem like there is something in the water and a lot of my co-workers are getting pregnant. I must be allergic to the water.

Ok so 4 days after my BFP in Feb I started doing the elpictical adding walking in as well. I can document this on my insurance site to see what I've been doing.

This is it so far. I just want this next cycle to produce some more eggs and make some spanking embies. Figured excerising this time around would help.

Cathy, don't feel bad about having insurance, that is wonderful that it is available for some even though not for everyone. Thats just how it goes.

I am starting my progesterone pills 4 times a day tomorrow, (pills). And I stay on the Estrace until april 5, i guess somewhere there I'll get AF.

my ER is right now scheduled for 4/19

I have been going for my acupuncture once a week, and trying to eat foods on the warm list ( my acu lady said I have a cool and damp internal weather, so I need some warming. LOL (really!)

Started my Stims tonight..... I didn't do very well...I did half my dose of Lupron first, easy.....then I did the Menopur, 2 vials and it did burn a bit.... I asked the nurse if it would since I had heard that and she told me no....she didn't have to lie....Then I started the Follistim and as I was injecting it I felt for sure that I was going to pass out... I finished the shot quickly and tossed the needle onto the table without even putting the cap on it and told my husband to get me an ice pack and a glass of water, which he did very quickly, I felt like I might get sick for a minute then I moved to my recliner.....I feel much better now. I sure hope tomorrow goes better.
We video tape our shots and have a blog page I don't have tonight's shot video up yet but I have our first Lupron video on there if anyone is interested...see below for the link. If you leave a comment leave your name so I know who was there.

Ladybug ---- How did your shots go? I hope better than mine!

Traci--- After tonight I am more than ready for that stage of this process to come!! It hit home for me on Friday when I was making my lesson plan for next week and noticed that it is the last week of March. April 3rd is right around that next corner.
