Would you like me to update you for hte april list or would you like to join the may gang? Either way we're all still her for each other.

aawww... Cathy, I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet dog! I know how hard it is. I lost 2 of my cats last year, within a month of each other, one from old age, and one had a heart condition.

It was so hard, and I still cry sometimes.

Hopeful~~ My Dr, said BD is ok until 3 days before ER, and massages are ok until the prior day.

How was everyones Easter Holiday?

Happy Belated Easter ladies!

cathyh - I am so sorry to hear about your pooch. They truly are a part of our families and it is so hard to see them go, believe me.

jerseyjandj - I have the same experience with my stims - right now I am doing Follistim Pen and Menopur, and it has become increasingly harder to penetrate the skin when giving the shots--and it hurts more too!

Checkin Report: In general, I am starting to feel a little uncomfortable with the side effects of the stims--a bit gassy and I am slowing down too, i.e. more naps, sitting down. I am cautiously optimistic about the upcoming ER and ET next week. I have done everything I could humanly do to help things along (see my signature below), so I will leave the rest up to God

I have also surprisingly kept my sense of humor through all of this. I figured, hey, I have been through so much with IF that I just need to take things in stride--things work out as they are supposed to!

I finally decided that my insomnia was caused by Lupron and not stress or my cat (He likes to get pats when I'm awake in bed, so sometimes he stomps on me to see if I'm awake. It can be a vicious cycle.) I've had to sleep on the downstairs couch for the last two nights and don't know if that will be changing anytime soon. It takes me a long time to fall asleep then I can't stay asleep. Extremely frustrating! I'm also hot and uncomfortably bloated. Yet another reason I'm looking forward to my u/s on Thursday - if I get the IVF go ahead, I'll drop to 5 units Lupron instead of 10. If this cycle is cancelled because of those cysts, then at least I'll get to stop the Lupron!

Hey Irena, I am also getting sleepless nights because of the Gonal-F. I used to fall asleep before my head touched the pillow! Now I take forever to sleep and then also I sleep very fitfully. I hope your cycle isnt cancelled. Best of luck for the ultrasound.

I took my LAST BCP on SATURDAY! Hooray! This is a major milestone. I am on 10units of Lupron and looking forward to getting it dropped to 5 on Friday if I can start my Stims.

I have started to get really moody and mean on this lupron. I feel bad for DH. I think me being moody has caused him to be even more moody. NOT a good combo.

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter! Next year we will be giving a little Easter basket to our screamiing 3 month olds! This is our time ladies!!!

Irena and LadyR-I also have been having the WORST nights sleeps. I also used to be the type who is asleep before my head hits the pillow, but last night I woke up 3 times and couldn't go back to sleep. This Lupron is really taking a toll on me this time! I guess I can think of you as I am starring wide awake at the cieling tonight at 3am. Irena, I'm so sorry that you've had to go sleep on the couch!

LittleLadySky- to the April thread! This is our month!!

Cathy-I'm so sorry about your dog. I will be keeping you and DH in my prayers.

Kayla-I wanted to answer your questions:

Quote:
If you do not mind sharing, would you ladies share your decisions on the following:

1. Number of eggs you chose to implant and why? Our first IVF-3 embabies, second IVF-2 morulas and 1 blast. Our 3rd IVF...well, I'm at the point I want to stick in 10 just to get one to stick. But, I will probably go with 3 again. I don't mind having twins at all.

2. Genetic Testing - did any of you decide to have the geneic testing for diseases done? No

3. Gender Selection - did any of you decide to implant a particular sex, like a girl and a boy so you might have both in one try in case this is your only successful IVF? No

I just started my IVF cycle as well and due to insurance and other things in our life my husband and I are going really quick. We are looking to do a PESA and ICSI in April. I have no idea what to expect. I hope we can journey together.

yes, you have done alot especially with your diet. has it been hard? I cut out caffeine several months ago, I limit myself to 1/2 caff free diet coke/day, I cut my dairy in half and supplement with almond milk, I add flax seed to my cereal every morning, I only eat red meat once/week, I eat organic fruit and vegs everyday, nuts daily also, drink water w/ lemon juice, acupuncture once/week, take Co Q10, Grape seed extract, hmm - I guess that's it. I still eat chips and sweets though And stuff out of boxes: Chicken Helper, lean cuisines, etc... I think it would be soooo tough not to eat anything out of a package or box ie processed foods. DH and I went to ST Lucia for 10 days and we ate nothing processed while we were there, had no soft drinks and all meals were prepared with fresh local foods (fruit etc) picked right off the island and fish caught locally and it was THE best we have ever felt in our lives. It's impossible to eat like that here (unless we were rich enough to hire our own chef) all our meals were prepared for us there.

okay ramble ramble...

you are soo close to your BFP!

TWEEDY! good luck on your IVF!

Hello everyone,

Wow, we certainly are a big group!!! I can't wait to see all the BFP's!

Question......

I go tommorrow for a mock embryo transfer in the A.M. Does this cause discomfort? Should I take any Motrin in advance?

I just want to be prepared.

Thanks,
Jenny

Question......

I go tommorrow for a mock embryo transfer in the A.M. Does this cause discomfort? Should I take any Motrin in advance?

I just want to be prepared.

Thanks,
Jenny

my mock transfer was a *little* uncomfortable b/c he said my bladder wasn't full enough and a full bladder straightens out the cervix/uterus so definitely make sure your bladder is full. I would probabvly go ahead and take a little something but you likely won't need it. Better safe than sorry though - it can't hurt. Have fun!

My RE advised me to take 2 Tylenol before the mock transfer. It was slightly uncomfortable, but the full bladder was the worst part for me.

Good luck!
